Battlefield 1 Play First Trial Now Live – 10 Hours of Gameplay Available

Are you ready for Battlefield 1? EA is. Members of EA Access and Origin Access  are now able to download the Battlefield 1 Play First trial before its planned October 13 launch date. Non EA Access and Original Access members will get access to the full game on October 21, and those who purchased the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition will get access on October 18.

According to the website, the Battlefield 1 Play First trial will come with 10 full hours of content containing five maps, four game modes, and three chapters of the single player campaign. AMD Bundling Battlefield 1 Upgrade Codes with Radeon RX 480 Graphics Cards

Today it was revealed that AMD is preparing a new promotion with its Radeon RX 480 graphics cards, partnering with EA to bundle upgrade codes for DICE’s  Battlefield 1 game. Starting today, eligible RX 480 purchases in select markets will receive an Origin code which upgrade Battlefield 1 Standard Edition ($59.99)  purchases to the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition ($79.99).

The upgrade works as promo code, which you’d add to the cart during checkout, which will reduce the BF1 Early Enlister Deluxe Edition to the price of the Standard Edition. If redeemed after launch, you’ll simply receive the Digital Deluxe Edition of Battlefield 1.

AMD Catalyst 14.1 Beta Drivers Delayed, Battlefield 4 Mantle Patch Live

If you saw our post yesterday regarding AMD’s imminent release of Catalyst 14.1 Beta drivers and have been abusing your F5 button all day because of it, we have some bad news. AMD found a last bug in some last minute QA testing prior to launching the drivers and as far as I know they’ll be working around the clock to get it out hopefully by next week. Rest assured, it’s still coming, but it’ll take slightly longer than anticipated.

Given the fact that AMD uses a Year.Month naming scheme on their Catalyst drivers and we’re about to roll into February, AMD may have to be launching the driver as a Catalyst 14.2 Beta rather than a 14.1 Beta. [...]

AMD, Nvidia Update Beta Drivers for Battlefield 4

With Battlefield 4’s exclusive beta starting tomorrow and the open beta starting on October 4, both AMD and Nvidia have released updated beta drivers to ensure that their graphics cards will be able to handle the game at optimal performance.

On AMD’s side, AMD recently unveiled Catalyst 13.10 Beta 2, which includes among other enhancements features “…a 32-bit single GPU, and a AMD Crossfire™ game profile for Battlefield 4™”. Those rocking an AMD Radeon graphics card may download the Catalyst 13.10 Beta 2 here.
