First Person Shooter, or FPS, games are one of the most common gaming genres out there, but when it comes to gaming mice designed specifically for the genre, there is surprisingly very few out there. Of course, if you ask any professional FPS gamer, it’s easy to understand why. As FPS gaming relies almost solely on the quality of the main switches along with the accuracy of the sensor, FPS gamers typically select simple mice with quality switches and ultra-accurate sensors making gaming mice such as the Zowie EC2, Razer DeathAdder Elite, Logitech G Pro, or SteelSeries Rival 300 some of the most popular gaming mice for FPS gamers.
Of course, [...]
We have a treat for all the audiophiles out there with a new pair of Beyerdynamic audiophile headphones for review. For those who aren’t familiar with high end audio brands, Beyerdynamic is a German audio brand with almost 100 years of history crafting some of the highest end professional and enthusiast grade audio equipment.
Today we’ll be reviewing the new Beyerdynamic Amrion Home. The Beyerdynamic Amiron Home is the successor to the popular Beyerdynamic T90 and is geared toward a very niche group of enthusiast audiophiles with its $600 price point. As implied by its name, Beyerdynamic is making it clear that the Amiron Home is not [...]
When Eero launched last year, it helped drive a revolutionary shift in the WiFi router market. Unlike the traditional WiFi router which was complicated to configure and manage for the average user, Eero wanted to create something that was easy to setup, easy to manage and could provide reliable whole home WiFi coverage no matter the size of the home. For the most part, Eero achieved its goal.
Now that it’s a bit more than year later, Eero has revealed the 2nd Generation Eero. Rather than a major redesign, the 2nd Generation Eero focuses on improving on the first generation product while simultaneously launching lower powered wall mounted [...]
As portable devices have become more prevalent, power banks have become the must have for anyone who spends any time away from an electrical outlet. Typically power banks offer a microUSB or a USB Type-C port for charging and while many devices have now adopted microUSB or USB-C, many devices still require AC power, which is a problem if your power bank only supports USB charging.
One innovative company looking to make power banks a bit more versatile is Jackery, which recently launched an Indiegogo campaign on their new PowerBar power bank. Over the past month, Jackery was kind enough to let us test one of the early units, so let’s take a look![...]
Several months ago, we reviewed the Thinkware X550 and walked away quite impressed. While some of the driver safety features were a bit more gimmicky than Thinkware would have you believe and the pricetag is relatively higher than competing dashcams on the market, the Thinkware X550 still proved to be an excellent dashcam with great picture quality and more importantly the ability to record well at night which is an issue for many of the cheaper dashcams on the market.
New for the company this time around is the Thinkware F800, which is the new flagship in the Thinkware F-series dashcams. Unlike the Thinkware X-series dashcams, the F-series are more [...]
Over the years, Cooler Master has grown up quite a bit with their mechanical keyboard designs. Unlike many of the designs of the past, Cooler Master’s new keyboards now focus on a more of the back to basics design approach with minimal frills, but all the functionality you’d want in a mechanical keyboard.
The Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro S is the embodiment of that new design philosophy. Aside from the logo, Cooler Master keyboards appear to have few differentiating factors against its competitors, but as the platitude goes, never judge a keyboard by its cover.
Today we’ll be reviewing one of Cooler Master’s [...]
Last year I was fortunate enough to be among the first to review the Samsung T3 Portable SSD. The drive was small, durable, fast, available in capacities up to 2TB, and relatively good looking making it not only my favorite portable SSD, but also my most highly recommended as well.
Of course, with Samsung’s annual release cycles, Samsung recently launched the new Samsung T5 Portable SSD which we’ll be reviewing today.Samsung Portable SSD T5 SpecificationsManufacturer SamsungModel T5Capacity 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, 2TBInterface Type-C USB 3.1 (Gen 2), USB 3.0, USB 2.0Transfer Speed Up to [...]
Several weeks ago, we were able to get our hands on Razer’s new wired ambidextrous eSports grade gaming mouse, the Razer Lancehead Tournament Edition, which we were quite impressed with. While a portion of the advertised features weren’t available at the time of the review (Synapse 3 is required for the Hybrid On-Board functionality), the Razer Lancehead TE still proved to be a fantastic gaming mouse with a flawless sensor, an excellent design and a reasonable price point.
Along with the Lancehead TE, Razer also launched the Razer Lancehead, which we’ll be reviewing today. The main difference between [...]
When it comes to gaming peripherals, everyone knows that Razer makes some of the best and given that most gaming peripherals can be used in everyday life, the company naturally branched out to create gamer inspired lifestyle gear. One such line of products is the Razer Hammerhead line of in-ear headphones which we were fairly impressed with when we reviewed it way back in 2013.
Naturally, given the success of the Hammerhead series, Razer released a new Bluetooth version, the Hammerhead BT which we’ll be reviewing today.Razer Hammerhead BT SpecificationsManufacturer RazerModel Hammerhead BTType In-EarInterface Bluetooth 4.1 + [...]
