Dell announced a massive refresh of its Precision line of workstations at SIGGRAPH 2017, marking the first refresh of the Precision lineup in five years.

AMD Unveils Radeon Pro WX9100 and Pro SSG for 4K and 8K Content Creators

AMD is showing some serious love for content creators at SIGGRAPH 2017 with two major new graphics cards, the Radeon Pro WX 9100 and the Radeon Pro SSG.

The AMD Radeon Pro WX9100 is the first Pro graphics card that was shown off. The card features 64 next generation compute units capable of delivering up to 12.3 TFLOPs of Single Precision FP32 compute performance. Included is also, 16GB of HBC (High Bandwidth Cache) memory with ECC delivering up to 484 GB/s of memory bandwidth. Some keen-eyed Redditors recently spotted AMD’s Vega 10, Vega 11, Vega 12 and Vega 20 on the Eurasian Economic Commission, or ECC’s, website, confirming the existence of of all the cards. The website also shared some SKU and model information as well.

Dell Launches Ubuntu-Powered Precision 5720 All-in-One

Not long after the launch of its 15″ and 17″ Ubuntu mobile workstations, Dell is releasing another offering powered by Ubuntu, this time in the form of the Precision 5720 all-in-one.

The Precision 5720 features a 27″ 4K IPS Screen as well as a high-end sound bar. Users have the option of choosing between touch and non-touch displays.

AMD to Power Alibaba Cloud with Radeon Pro Graphics

Slowly but surely, AMD is clawing their way back in both the CPU and GPU space, and the newest win for AMD comes from a recent announcement that Chinese internet giant Alibaba has signed on to utilize AMD Radeon graphics technology in their cloud datacenters.
