HP Announces ZBook X2 Mobile Workstation

HP has released the world’s first 2-in-1 convertible mobile workstation. The HP ZBook X2 aims to bring high performance into a versatile form factor that’s also familiar to professionals already proficient to drawing tablets.

The ZBook X2’s design borrows much from today’s drawing tablets. The ZBook X2 has a column of function buttons on either side of the display, much like many high-end drawing tabs do. An adjustable kickstand at the rear lets the user’s hands rest in a comfortable position.

PNY Unveils Prevail Pro Mobile Workstation at SIGGRAPH 2017

At SIGGRAPH 2017, PNY announced that they’ll soon be jumping into the mobile workstation market with their latest PNY Prevail Pro P3000 and Prevail Pro P4000 mobile workstations.

The new mobile workstations which are just 0.78-inches thin and weigh in at just 4.8Lbs, feature up to a 15.6-inch 4K UHD(3840×2160) display, an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor, up to 32GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM, and Nvidia’s Quadro Mobile P3000 for the Prevail Pro P3000 and the Quadro Mobile P4000 (Max-Q) for the Prevail Pro P4000. HP Launches Z VR Backpack PC Sporting Nvidia Quadro P5200

After recently releasing the HP Omen X Compact Desktop designed for VR gamers, HP is back at it again with another VR backpack, this time at SIGGRAPH 2017 to release the professional oriented HP Z VR for VR developers and creative professionals.

Nvidia Announces Titan Xp and Quadro External GPUs

At SIGGRAPH 2017, Nvidia announced that it will be bringing its powerful Titan Xp and Quadro graphics cards into an eGPU solution for gamers, creative professionals and AI researchers.

AMD Vega Frontier Edition vs Titan Xp Previewed: Faster than Titan Xp in Compute, Strong Gaming Performance

PC World was recently given the opportunity to preview AMD’s upcoming Vega Frontier Edition graphics card ahead of its release date and revealed some interesting findings about the highly anticipated graphics card.

The first is that the AMD Vega FE is significantly faster than Nvidia’s Titan Xp in compute. This was tested using SPECViewPerf 12.1 and Cinebench R15 (OpenGL). In the Catia and Creo benchmark, the Vega FE performed 28% faster, Solidworks, the Vega FE performed 50% faster, and in Cinebench, the Vega FE performed 14% faster.
