Dell Releases New XPS 13 (9370) Laptops With Quad Core Processors

Dell’s XPS 13 ultrabook just received a significant performance upgrade and enhanced asthetics.

The new XPS 13 now uses Intel’s 8th gen Quad-core i5-8250 and i7-8550 CPUs. The CPUs have a baseline TDP of 15W, but can be configured for to up to 25W. Dell states that the new cooling solution in the new XPS 13 can handle up to 27W, so it’s likely that the CPUs had their TDPs increased accordingly. Despite the robust cooling, the weight of the is kept at  just 2.67 lbs.

Microsoft Announces New Surface Pro

Microsoft announced a new Surface Pro at its ShangHai event today. While the new Surface Pro is not a full-blown iteration of the Surface Pro 4, it does update it with some much-needed improvements and a few new features.

Laptop Prices Expected to Increase 5-15% in 2Q2017

Digitimes reports that the prices of retail laptops are expected to increase by 5% to 15% in 2Q2017 to offset the rising cost of components.

Components like DRAM, SSDs, and displays are experiencing a shortage due to a shift in manufacturing. Many component manufacturers are prioritizing production for the lucrative smartphone market which has unfortunately left a shortage of PC components.

Razer Launches Razer Blade Stealth Gaming Ultrabook with Razer Core Graphics Dock

Razer has added a new model to its Razer Blade gaming laptop line in the form of an ultrabook and a graphics expansion dock.

The Razer Blade Stealth is the smallest of the Razer Blade series. Microsoft Launches Surface Book and Surface Pro 4

October 6 was a big day for Microsoft. In New York, the software giant launched perhaps the biggest product launch event it had in recent memory.
