HyperX Announces Cloud Alpha Gaming Headset with Double Chamber Design

For Gamescom 2017 in Cologne, Germany, HyperX announced their new Cloud Alpha gaming headset designed for multi-platform gaming on PC, Xbox One S, PS4, Mac, Mobile, and more.

The HyperX Cloud Alpha features a similar exterior design to the previous HyperX Cloud II gaming headset however, the Cloud Alpha’s biggest new feature is what HyperX calls Dual Chamber Technology. Paired with the 50mm drivers, HyperX separates the chambers for the highs/mids and the lows to create more accurate sound with improved range and tone compared to previous gaming headsets without the dual chamber design.

The LucidSound LS25 eSports Gaming Headset is the wired cousin of the wireless LucidSound LS30. Destiny 2 Free with Purchase of Nvidia GTX 1080 or GTX 1080 Ti

Gamers looking to upgrade their rigs after all the eye-watering E3 announcements will be happy to know that Nvidia is including a free copy of Destiny 2 with the purchase of any GTX 1080 and GTX 1080 Ti. The bundle deal extends to laptops equipped with GTX 1080 as well.

Also included with the bundle is access to the early beta which starts on July 18 for PS4 players and August for PC players.

The game will be released on PS4 on September 6. The PC version is slated to arrive in October.

Tekken 7 Gets PC Release Date, System Requirements Revealed

This week, we finally received confirmation of the release date for Tekken 7, along with the announcement that the title will indeed be releasing on PC in addition to the PS4 and Xbox One. Resident Evil 7 Will Support Xbox Play Anywhere

In an announcement made via Twitter, Xbox’s head Phill Spencer confirmed that the upcoming survival-horror title, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will support Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere initiative, which allows customers to buy a supported title once and play on both Xbox and Windows 10 gaming PCs.

Sony OtherOS Lawsuit Claim Now Available, $55 Settlement for PS3 Owners Who Used OtherOS Functionality

When Sony originally launched their first iteration of the PlayStation 3 back in 2006, one of the features of the gaming console was the ability to install a Linux based operating system by using the built-in “Other OS” feature. A number of PS3 owners purchased the console with ambitions to utilize the PS3 as a Linux PC, but this feature was unfortunately removed in 2010 via software update 3.21.

As many gamers claimed that they purchased the PS4 for the Other OS functionality, this subsequently resulted in a 6 year class action lawsuit with Sony opting to settle the suit back in June of this year.

Razer Announces Kraken V2 with Custom Tuned Drivers, Unibody Aluminum Frame

Razer today announced the updated Razer Kraken v2 gaming headset lineup featuring the new Razer Kraken V2 Pro and the Razer Kraken v2 7.1. The new headsets bring quite a few new features to the table, chief among them being a new custom tuned driver and an all aluminum unibody frame.

The new drivers used on the Razer Kraken V2 lineup are now custom tuned 50mm drivers which are larger than those found on previous generation Kraken headsets. The larger drivers will provide a wider frequency range and a more powerful bass response.
