LeEco Announces 5.5″ Le Pro3 in the US, Packs Snapdragon 821 for $399

Samsung Will Compensate Galaxy Note 7 Component Suppliers as Much as $267 Million

As most of us know by now, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 smartphone has been nothing short of a total failure with Samsung permanently pulling the device off shelves within 2 months after launch. Although Samsung’s brand is on the device, the Note 7 itself isn’t completely produced in house with many of the components coming from outside suppliers. As these suppliers expected the Note 7 to do as much as $17 Billion in sales through its lifecycle, many suppliers have invested heavily into development and production of components designed to be used in the Note 7, which is a problem now as the product has been discontinued.

Nvidia Announces GeForce GTX 1050, GTX 1050 Ti Entry Level Graphics Cards

Nvidia today announced their new GeForce GTX 1050 and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti which isn’t much of a surprise since pretty much every detail of the upcoming cards were already leaked previously.

As expected, the GeForce GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti will feature the GP107 Pascal architecture based GPU which is manufactured on Samsung’s 14nm FinFET process. This is significantly different from the rest of the Pascal lineup which is manufactured on TSMC’s 16nm FinFET process. Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050, GTX 1050 Ti Prices Leaked: GTX 1050 – $109, GTX 1050 Ti – $139

There has been numerous leaks already on the upcoming Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti, but a recent leak from Videocardz provides practically confirmed specs, launch date, and pricing information about the upcoming cards.

In the slide above, we can see that the GeForce GTX 1050 will ship with 640 CUDA cores, 2GB GDDR5 memory, and a 75W TDP. It’ll begin shipping October 25 at $109. The GeForce GTX 1050 on the other hand will ship with 768 CUDA cores, 4GB GDDR5 memory and carry the same 75W TDP as the GTX 1050. It’ll also ship on October 25, but for $139. Verizon Launches PopData to Join Unlimited Data Party, Sort Of

Whereas practically all the other US wireless carriers are offering some sort of “unlimited” data plan these days, Verizon still seems to be the last stand against unlimited. In an attempt to offer some sort of middle ground, Verizon recently introduced PopData which allows customers to purchase unlimited data in time slots of either 30 minutes for $2 or 60 minutes for $3.
