Autonomous, the makers behind the sitting/standing Smart Desk, has recently launched the third iteration of their Smart Desk series, the Autonomous Smart Desk 3. Autonomous claims that the Smart Desk 3 is the world’s first AI powered workstation and you’ll soon see why.
With the original Smart Desk and the Smart Desk 2, Autonomous focused on perfecting their Smart Desk’s main function which was to simply move up and down for both sitting and standing use. With the Smart Desk 3, Autonomous has now also integrated a tablet directly into the desk itself.
The tablet is a 7-inch tablet which sits flush on the table to the left of the user. [...]
As the Intel’s upcoming 8th Generation Core Processors, codename Coffee Lake, nears its official launch, numerous leaks have been springing up on the CPUs. However, little was previously known about the Coffee Lake platform and chipset. Until now.
In a new leak, we now have what appears to be official Intel presentation slides on the upcoming processors as well as information about the chipset and platform.
For starters, here’s the roadmap for Intel’s desktop CPUs from 2Q2017 to 2Q2018. We can see that Coffee Lake-S CPUs along with Kaby Lake Refresh PCH are expected to launch sometime towards the tail end of 3Q2017 with the Cannon [...]
After about a year since we first heard about AMD Vega, AMD has finally announced the new graphics card, marking AMD’s return to the enthusiast graphics market after years of sitting on the sidelines.
AMD’s RX Vega lineup will consist of two new graphics cards, the RX Vega 64 and the RX Vega 56.
AMD Radeon RX Vega 64
The Radeon RX Vega 64 is AMD’s flagship RX Vega graphics card. The 64 in its name signifies the number of next generation compute units in the GPU, which in this case is 64. Multiply this number by 64 Stream Processors per compute unit and you get a total of 4096 Stream Processors.
At SIGGRAPH 2017, Nvidia announced that it will be bringing its powerful Titan Xp and Quadro graphics cards into an eGPU solution for gamers, creative professionals and AI researchers.
External graphics docks are becoming increasingly popular due to their convenience and massive graphics performance they bring to laptops and other mobile devices that otherwise would not have the capability.
With the new announcement, those who want Nvidia’s latest and greatest will be able to put one in an external GPU solution such as the BizonBox, which now already has the Titan Xp listed as a compatible graphics card.
If you’re just starting your research on a new graphics card, you probably have no idea where to start. This is why we’ve decided to put together a graphics card comparison chart ranking each of the latest graphics cards based on its performance capabilities.
The comparison chart below is based on research from multiple review sites as well as performance numbers gathered from own reviews and testing. Keep in mind that each of the graphics card vendors have their own preferred game development partners, so in some rare instances in specific games, a graphics card from one vendor may outperform a higher ranked graphics cards from another [...]
In the world of semiconductors, die sizes can provide a lot of information regarding the component such as manufacturing cost, architecture performance, and many other pieces of crucial information. As a result, many companies like to keep this kind of information a secret to keep competitors in the dark for as long as possible.
As a result, it’s no surprise that AMD chose to stay quiet regarding the true die size of their recently released Vega GPU; however, that isn’t going to stop reviewers and ultimately the hardware community from asking questions.
PCPer, one of the tech sites which reviewed the Vega FE, recently measured the Vega die at [...]
PC World was recently given the opportunity to preview AMD’s upcoming Vega Frontier Edition graphics card ahead of its release date and revealed some interesting findings about the highly anticipated graphics card.
The first is that the AMD Vega FE is significantly faster than Nvidia’s Titan Xp in compute. This was tested using SPECViewPerf 12.1 and Cinebench R15 (OpenGL). In the Catia and Creo benchmark, the Vega FE performed 28% faster, Solidworks, the Vega FE performed 50% faster, and in Cinebench, the Vega FE performed 14% faster. Considering the Vega Frontier Edition is designed to be a workstation graphics card, this isn’t surprising as [...]

Though Nvidia’s GPU roadmap shows that Volta consumer graphics card won’t be coming until 2018, a Facebook post may have leaked the very first glimpse at what the Titan X Volta could look like.
The card in question sports a never-before-seen cooling shroud bearing the “Titan” logo. It uses an 8-pin and 6-pin power connector. Aside from the obvious appearance features, sharp-eyed users have also pointed out that it lacks the SLI connector. In its place are little notches (just above the logo) that bear resemblance to the NVLink connectors on the recently announced Nvidia GV100 workstation card.
While we know [...]
