As the partial shutdown of the US Federal Government continues into its second week with no end in sight, over 800,000 US Government employees continue to be either furloughed for those deemed non-essential, or still on the job for those deemed essential, but not getting paid until congress and the President can agree to a budget. For many Federal Government employees who depend on their bi-weekly paychecks, this has caused significant financial burden especially when many don’t know how they will be able to pay their next rent, electric, or even cell phone bill.

When Razer acquired Nextbit in January this year, we had a feeling that they would put that acquisition to good use combining Nextbit’s smartphone engineering know-how with Razer’s own gamer twist. After just less than a year in the making, Razer unveiled their latest smartphone which may be the first decent smartphone ever produced specifically for gaming and content consumption.
The new smartphone, which Razer calls the Razer Phone, looks very similar to the Nextbit Robin, which was Nextbit’s flagship smartphone before the company was acquired by Razer. From there, Razer has made some serious enhancements to the product to make it one of the most [...]

If you’ve been in the market for a new Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+, T-Mobile is running a limited time buy one, get one free deal you won’t want to miss out on.

After purchasing the two smartphones, simply head on over to the T-Mobile rebates website and submit a [...]

Earlier this month, the FCC concluded their 600MHz spectrum auction and T-Mobile walked away with 45% of the spectrum, spending nearly $8 billion. While this was no surprise, it was a surprise to see that both Sprint and Verizon didn’t even bother to bid. Sure, it’s understandable that Sprint may not want to finance a potentially costly bid for additional spectrum, but Verizon on the other hand is very wealthy and could easily afford to throw money at spectrum, begging the question, why?
In a recent blog post written by Verizon Wireless Chief Network Officer, Nicola Palmer, she explains that Verizon didn’t bid because “We simply don’t need [...]
In one of its most high profile moves this year, T-Mobile recently announced that they’ve won big at the 600MHz low band wireless spectrum auction, winning 1,525 licenses, or 45% of all 600MHz spectrum. The newly acquired spectrum covers every inch of the US including US territories such as Puerto Rico and quadruples T-Mobile’s low band spectrum holdings. According to documents from the FCC, T-Mobile was the biggest purchaser of spectrum in this auction, spending nearly $8 billion.
The auction, which began last year, was a special auction which would re-purpose spectrum currently used for broadcast TV into spectrum for wireless services. Low band [...]
Hate picking up the phone from a random unknown caller telling you to wire $20,000 to Nigeria to release a $1,000,000,000,000,000,000 inheritance from your long lost Nigerian uncle? Yeah, me too.
To prevent this, T-Mobile is launching Scam ID and Scam Block, which will ID and block known scammer calls before they even reach your phone. The way this works is every call that goes through T-Mobile’s network will get analyzed and compared against a continuously updated database of known scammer phone numbers. When a match is found, the number is tagged as possible scam and the T-Mobile subscriber receiving the call can either be warned “Scam Likely” to [...]
