Intel Coffee Lake Platform Details Leaked in Presentation Slides

As the Intel’s upcoming 8th Generation Core Processors, codename Coffee Lake, nears its official launch, numerous leaks have been springing up on the CPUs. However, little was previously known about the Coffee Lake platform and chipset. Until now.

In a new leak, we now have what appears to be official Intel presentation slides on the upcoming processors as well as information about the chipset and platform.

SD Association Introduces A2 Memory Card Specification

The SD Association recently took the wraps off SD Specification 6.0 which includes the A2 (Application Performance Class 2) standard, designed for newer Android devices with the capability of using microSD cards as Adoptable Storage. Adoptable Storage is a new Android feature which rolled out with Android 6.0 Marshmallow allowing SD cards to be used as internal storage.

WD Demos SanDisk 1TB Extreme PRO SDXC Card Prototype

Western Digital recently announced that they’re now demoing the new 1TB SanDisk Extreme PRO SDXC memory card prototype at the Photokina show now happening in Cologne, Germany.

Last week at IBC, SanDisk unveiled the SanDisk Extreme PRO 512GB SDXC UHS-I, making SanDisk the first manufacturer to produce a 512GB SD card, and this week SanDisk is revamping their microSD cards by introducing the world’s fastest, high capacity microSD card, the SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-I.

SanDisk Unveils Massive 512GB Extreme PRO SDHC/SDXC Memory Card

According to a recent press release, SanDisk is announcing the world’s first 512GB SDHC/SDXC UHS-I memory card, the SanDisk Extreme PRO, designed for professionals shooting 4K video, HD video, and high speed photography. Previously, the largest capacity SDXC memory cards on the market were 256GB and were only offered by a few companies such as SanDisk, Lexar and PNY. As far as I know, currently the largest NAND dies on the market is 128Gb, which means SanDisk has managed to cram a staggering 32 dies into the Extreme PRO to reach a 512GB capacity.
