NVIDIA has just launched an all-new version of its flagship, ultra-high-end Titan X graphics card, dubbed the Titan Xp (Yes, really). This new 4K gaming beast brings with it a fully unlocked GP102 GPU core, featuring 3,840 CUDA cores and 12.15 TFLOPs of compute performance.NVIDIA GeForce TITAN Xp Manufacturer NVIDIA Model Titan Xp Titan X GTX 1080 Ti Codename GP102 GP102 GP102 Architecture Pascal Fabrication 16nm FinFET (TSMC) Boost Clock (MHz) 1582 1531 1582 CUDA Cores 3840 3584 3584 Framebuffer 12GB 12GB 11GB Memory Type GDDR5X Memory Interface 256-bit 384-bit 352-bit Memory Clock 11.4 Gbps 10 Gbps 11 Gbps Memory Bandwidth 547.7 GB/s 480 [...]
Gaming hardware has traditionally held a reputation for being bulky and intimidating. Gaming PCs are often visualized as huge towers decked out with flashy lights and sports car inspired paint jobs. While that would’ve been accurate just a few years ago, performance PCs are no longer confined to just “big”. Thanks to ever increasing tiny hardware that pack a serious punch, SFF, or Small Form-Factor, gaming systems are significantly growing in popularity.
Today we’ll be reviewing one tiny, budget-focused graphics card that can fit almost anywhere yet provide decent gaming performance for the casual gamer, the XFX [...]
Alongside Ryzen, the Vega GPU is considered by many as AMD’s spearhead product for 2017. As it’s is slowly being finalized for mass production, we had the pleasure of meeting up with Scott Wasson and discuss the details of what Vega can bring to the table.
Scott started off the meeting by pointing out a major problem floating in the graphics industry today: graphics memory could no longer keep up with the demand of the processing power. In addition, conventional GPU architectures can’t adequately scale to handle big data. The media creation industry is using petabytes of working data, and the deep learning sector is extending into the [...]
When NVIDIA first announced the Pascal-based GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 graphics cards back in May, it was very clear that they had a pair of winners on their hands. Fast forward four months to today, and it seems that the company is still commanding the high-end GPU market with no competition expected from rival AMD until early-2017. With that in mind, anyone in the market for a high-end graphics card really only has two options – the GeForce GTX 1080 or the GeForce GTX 1070.
Today, we’re taking a look at the latter or more specifically, the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 AMP! ZOTAC is a company who’ve been producing GeForce graphics cards for [...]
With the launch of Nvidia’s Pascal based GeForce GTX 1080, GTX 1070, and GTX 1060 desktop chips now complete, Nvidia announced today that they’re bringing Pascal to the notebooks as well.
Nvidia’s launch today will bring three new notebook cards to the mix, the GeForce GTX 1080, GTX 1070 and GTX 1060. These three cards will strongly highlight the importance of the move to TSMC’s 16nm FinFET fabrication process as they’re no longer the cut down versions of the desktop cards we’re used to seeing in previous generation cards.
Nvidia is also no longer advertising these as “m” GPUs given that they’re no [...]
Nvidia recently surprised the tech world by revealing their brand new Pascal architecture based Titan X graphics card not at a Nvidia press event or a technology tradeshow, but rather at an AI meetup at Stanford University. After a presentation by Baidu Chief Scientist Andrew Ng, Nvidia CEO Jen Hsun Huang unexpectedly presented Ng with the new Titan X carrying an inscription that described Ng as “a pioneer, an amazing scientist, and a hero to us all.”
Despite the launch of the Pascal Titan X being quite unexpected, the beast-like specs of the Pascal Titan X is almost exactly as you’d expect. It’s insane.
While the Pascal Titan X [...]
With the release of NVIDIA’s new mid-ranged GPU, the Pascal-based GTX 1060 set for just a little over a week from now, on August 19th. NVIDIA’s add-in board partners are readying their own custom designs for the card, hoping to set themselves apart from each other. Today, ZOTAC has announced two models, the GTX 1060 AMP! and GTX 1060 Mini, both of which are described as being “Super compact short length cards.”ZOTAC GTX 1060 AMP! and Mini Graphics Cards
Starting with the larger of the two, we have the GeForce GTX 1060 AMP! Edition which measures 8.27 inches long and features ZOTAC’s IceStorm thermal solution which consists of a number of 8 mm [...]
It would be a fair assumption that AMD named its new GPU after one of the brightest stars in the night sky because to them, that’s exactly what this new GPU is. Huge strides have been made in its engineering, including a brand new architecture based on the new Samsung/GlobalFoundries 14nm FinFET process.
Over the past few years, AMD has been making aggressive pushes into the mainstream PC gaming market. With an all-new ad campaign entitled “The Uprising”, which encourages gamers to join the “Radeon Rebellion” – this Rebellion, of course refers to the fact that AMD has decided that instead of debuting an all-new [...]
Recently, we did a report on a leak of ZOTAC’s upcoming custom GTX 1080 PGF, which features RGB lighting. Today, we’ve received two more leaks of upcoming custom ZOTAC GTX 1080 models, this time in the form of the GTX 1080 AMP! and GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme. The leaks come courtesy of the folks at Videocardz.
First we have the GTX 1080 AMP! (left) which features a dual-fan design, and then the GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme (right) which features a tri-fan design. Both cards feature ZOTAC’s signature Carbon ExoArmor and IceStorm Fans, Power Boost, FREEZE and Spectra.
Spectra is ZOTAC’s lighting system, which allows users to modify [...]
Last week, NVIDIA unveiled their next-generation flagship GPU the GTX 1080, along with the slightly less powerful GTX 1070. With both of these new GPUs the company has made some pretty outrageous — and if at all true, very impressive — claims in terms of performance.
With all the hype surrounding the launch of NVIDIA’s flagship, many people are questioning AMD’s decision to focus on the mainstream desktop and notebook markets with the launch of their upcoming GCN (Graphics CoreNext) 4.0 GPUs, codenamed Polaris 10 and 11.
After all, historically GPU manufacturers are known to release the flagship or [...]
