First Person Shooter, or FPS, games are one of the most common gaming genres out there, but when it comes to gaming mice designed specifically for the genre, there is surprisingly very few out there. Of course, if you ask any professional FPS gamer, it’s easy to understand why. As FPS gaming relies almost solely on the quality of the main switches along with the accuracy of the sensor, FPS gamers typically select simple mice with quality switches and ultra-accurate sensors making gaming mice such as the Zowie EC2, Razer DeathAdder Elite, Logitech G Pro, or SteelSeries Rival 300 some of the most popular gaming mice for FPS gamers.
Of course, [...]
ROCCAT announced its Suora Keyboard a while back, but we weren’t able to get our fingers on one. Luckily, ROCCAT had a demo unit on display for us to try out at Computex 2016.
The ROCCAT Suora follows the recent rise in popularity of caseless mechanical keyboards. The chassis is recessed to show put the switches on display. The bezels are nearly flush with the keys, giving it a very small footprint when sitting on your desk. Currently, the ROCCAT Suora only comes with blue backlighting at launch.
It was interesting to see that the ROCCAT Suora uses TTC switches instead of Cherry or Kailh. TTC is a major switch producer in China and is a direct [...]

Only a couple years ago, gamers looking for quality gaming peripherals pretty much only had the choice between three major peripherals manufacturers – Logitech, Razer and SteelSeries. Sure there were various cheapo Chinese-made clones that were sold here and there, but for the most part nobody else had anything really competitive in the space.
With the increasing popularity of PC gaming and gaming in general, a number of companies have entered the PC gaming peripherals market, but none of them seem as promising as a little startup from Sweden by the name of Mionix. Now unlike a number of larger companies who enter the market by unveiling a [...]
Membrane switches and high-end gaming keyboards don’t mix very well; they’re often overshadowed by the much more tactile and responsive mechanical switches. Although we tend to see membrane switches on budget end keyboards, we do encounter a company that tries to break the norm from time to time by putting them on high end gaming keyboards. Gaming peripheral giant ROCCAT is one such company. A couple months ago, we reviewed the ROCCAT Isku gaming keyboard and was fairly impressed by its beautiful styling, huge programmable macro count and great performance.
However, the Isku isn’t ROCCAT’s only trick in the bag; [...]
You gotta admit. Razer is one helluva an awesome engineering company. They make fantastic, forward thinking gaming mice, keyboards, headsets, and lately even top of the line gaming notebooks, but one thing they haven’t seemed to figure out is logistics. Time and time again Razer unleashes possibly the coolest, most groundbreaking new products for consumers just to find that whatever just got released is sold out within minutes of the pre-order button becoming available.
One such product, which we’re about to review today, is the Razer Ouroboros. The Razer Ouroboros is a gaming mouse released back in late 2012, nearly 1 [...]
Fact: having a full 5.1 surround sound system will enhance your multimedia experience – this is something that even your grandma would probably agree on. Not only does directional sound allow you to track your enemies better (shooter fans, you know what I’m talking about), it also makes bad movies just a little easier to bear with when the sound is just that good. While full on 5.1 surround sound systems are quite common in living rooms, the same isn’t necessarily true in a bedroom or office, which is where we generally place our computers. Although many companies sell 5.1 or even 7.1 surround sound computer speakers, it’s [...]
As we were wrapping up our CES adventure, we were given the opportunity to visit the ROCCAT suite and man am I glad we did.
The first thing that caught my eye was the newly announced Ryos MK Pro keyboard sitting at the desk. The Ryos is a fully backlit mechanical keyboard that’s expected to come in all four most common Cherry MX keyswitch options (blue, brown, black, red). As our meeting progressed we were shown some cool features that that the keyboard had including the different lighting switches.
The first mode demonstrated will allow you to preset certain actions for LEDs on the keyboard when a certain key is [...]
