First Person Shooter, or FPS, games are one of the most common gaming genres out there, but when it comes to gaming mice designed specifically for the genre, there is surprisingly very few out there. Of course, if you ask any professional FPS gamer, it’s easy to understand why. As FPS gaming relies almost solely on the quality of the main switches along with the accuracy of the sensor, FPS gamers typically select simple mice with quality switches and ultra-accurate sensors making gaming mice such as the Zowie EC2, Razer DeathAdder Elite, Logitech G Pro, or SteelSeries Rival 300 some of the most popular gaming mice for FPS gamers.
Last month, SteelSeries introduced the Rival 310 and Sensei 310 carrying what SteelSeries claims to be their most accurate and superior gaming mouse sensor, the TrueMove3, a new gaming mouse sensor developed in partnership with PixArt delivering true 1:1 tracking.
In an effort to appeal to the more budget conscious consumers, SteelSeries is now also introducing the new Rival 110 featuring the new TrueMove 1 sensor. Like the TrueMove 3 sensor, the TrueMove 1 sensor features true 1:1 tracking, but has a 7,200 CPI and 240 IPS tracking compared to the TrueMove 3 sensor’s 12,000 CPI and 350+ IPS tracking. Additional features of the Rival 110 include six [...]
Cooler Master recently released two new gaming mice with updated features to give gamers a leg up in intensive gaming. The new gaming mice, the MasterMouse MM520 and MasterMouse MM530 will become the successors to the Cooler Master Alcor and Mizar.MM530 MM520

Several weeks ago, we were able to get our hands on Razer’s new wired ambidextrous eSports grade gaming mouse, the Razer Lancehead Tournament Edition, which we were quite impressed with. While a portion of the advertised features weren’t available at the time of the review (Synapse 3 is required for the Hybrid On-Board functionality), the Razer Lancehead TE still proved to be a fantastic gaming mouse with a flawless sensor, an excellent design and a reasonable price point.
Along with the Lancehead TE, Razer also launched the Razer Lancehead, which we’ll be reviewing today. The main difference between [...]
Aside from a few oddities and of course the themed gaming peripherals, Razer products have always maintained the black and green color scheme the company is most well known for. While that’s probably cool with most gamers, those who want more color options will now get an opportunity as well.
According to a new promo video posted to Razer’s YouTube page, the company is now offering the Mercury White and Gunmetal Grey color options for its most popular peripherals. Users looking to purchase a Blackwidow X mechanical gaming keyboard, Razer Lancehead gaming mouse, Razer Kraken 7.1 headphones, or Razer Invicta mouse pad can now find the new color options [...]
SteelSeries’ expertise in peripherals is legendary. Now, with the release of its Sensei 310 and Rival 310 gaming mice, the popular gaming peripherals company is looking to raise it to a whole new level.
What makes the Sensei 310 and Rival 310 special is the sensor that they carry. The new TrueMove3 sensor guarantees 1-to-1 tracking performance at sub-3,500DPI settings without the need of a jitter reduction algorithm. When pushed beyond 3,500DPI, an advanced tracking correction algorithm kicks in, which SteelSeries promises that it will introduce minimal latency. The sensor has a sensitivity ceiling of 12,000 DPI, but almost no gamer would ever play [...]
When it boils down to it, one of the most important components of your new gaming PC is the keyboard. Aside from the mouse, the keyboard, and maybe a gaming controller there’s literally nothing else that translates what you want to do to the PC. Unless you invest mind control… or something.
Over the past few years, one of the most popular categories of gaming keyboards have been the mechanical gaming keyboards. Unlike the cheap, soft and mushy rubber dome keyboards, mechanical gaming keyboards offer a better feel, more consistent actuation, better overall performance, and better reliability.
That said, with the increased popularity of [...]

If you look at Razer’s gaming mouse lineup today, they have a little bit of something for everyone, but one area that’s been lacking is a premium ambidextrous gaming mouse offering. While Razer does offer the back to basics Abyssus gaming mouse which features an ambidextrous design, it’s a relatively lower end gaming mouse that lacks some of the cool bells and whistles you’d find on Razer’s more premium products such as the DeathAdder Elite.
To address this market, Razer recently launched the Lancehead Tournament Edition, which we’ll be reviewing today. The Razer Lancehead TE is a premium gaming [...]
