Nvidia Announces Support for Adaptive Sync (FreeSync) Displays on GeForce Graphics Cards, What It Means For AMD

In a stunning move from Nvidia earlier this week, the GPU company announced that they would finally begin supporting adaptive sync functionality on AMD FreeSync monitors. Previously, Nvidia graphics cards were only compatible with their proprietary G-Sync system, which is technically a slightly better implementation of adaptive sync monitor technology when compared to FreeSync however, monitors that support G-Sync require an additional piece of hardware from Nvidia to handle the variable refresh rate of the monitor which makes the monitors supporting G-Sync more expensive (usually in the range of $100-$250) than monitors of similar feature sets without the G-Sync [...]

Starcraft Remastered Pre-Orders Now Open, Available August 14

Die hard Starcraft fans will be happy to know that Blizzard has recently announced that Starcraft Remastered will be available starting August 14.

The remastered edition of Starcraft will bring significant graphics to the game, supporting resolutions up to 4K so you no longer have to play Starcraft at a pitiful 640×480 on your brand spankin’ new 35-inch, 200Hz, G-Sync monitor. Acer Launches Predator Z35P Gaming Monitor: 35-inch, 3440×1440, AMVA, G-Sync

For those who enjoy the experience of massive gaming monitors, Acer is quietly launching an updated version of the Predator Z35, the Predator Z35P.

AOC Announces Agon 35-inch Curved Ultrawide QHD G-Sync Gaming Monitor

 

AOC has announced the latest in its lineup of Agon gaming monitors: the AG352UCG is a 35-inch, 3440 x  1440 ultrawide gaming monitor which features NVIDIA’s G-Sync variable refresh rate technology.

The AG352UCG features an AU Optronics VA panel with a maximum refresh rate of 100Hz, along with a 4ms response time. CES 2017: Razer Demos Project Valerie Triple Display Laptop, Project Ariana Gaming Projector

At CES 2017, we got a chance to visit the Razer booth before all their stuff was stolen. Two products are under the spotlight at Razer’s CES booth included Project Ariana and Project Valerie. While both products are considered to be proof of concept, Razer did have the prototypes to show off.

At the very front of the booth is Razer’s biggest eye catcher: a gaming laptop featuring triple 4K displays dubbed project Valerie.
