OpenIV Mod Tool is Back: GTA V Modding Community Scores Major Win

Last week, the GTA V modding community was in an major uproar after popular modding tool OpenIV was shut down by GTA V publishers Take-Two and Rockstar Games.

Shortly following the shutdown, the GTA V modding community voiced their feedback on GTA V through multiple outlets, chief among them GTA V’s review page on Steam which went from positive to mixed within a matter of hours with tens of thousands of recent reviews showing overwhelmingly negative.

Google Home Now Supports Multiple Users by Voice Recognition

Multi-user support, one of the most highly requested features for the Google Home has recently been released by Google.

According to a recent blog post, Google Home can now support up to six users by utilizing voice recognition in order to identify the person speaking. This allows Google Home to deliver personalized information for each user so users no longer get the wrong information when they ask Google about their day, their calendars, their commute times, etc.

ARRIS Acquires Ruckus Wireless, ICX Switch Business for $800 Million

In a recent announcement, ARRIS and Broadcom announced that they’ve entered an agreement for ARRIS to acquire Broadcom’s Ruckus Wireless and ICX Switch business, a business Broadcom acquired with their acquisition of Brocade Communications Systems late last year. The acquisition, which will cost ARRIS $800 Million plus the cost of unvested employee stock awards will follow the completion of Broadcom’s acquisition of Brocade.

NSA Approves Windows 10, Surface Devices for Classified Data

In a lengthy blog post, Microsoft confirmed that its Windows 10 operating system and select Surface devices have been added to the NSA’s Commercial Solutions for Classified Programs (CSfC) list for use with classified data. Current list of approved devices includes the Surface Pro 3, Surface Pro 4, and Surface Book.

Microsoft Begins Shipping HoloLens to Japan

Microsoft recently added Japan to the list of countries that will receive the HoloLens, the company’s esteemed augmented reality headset.

Japan will be receiving both the developer as well as the commercial editions of HoloLens. Microsoft states that one of its biggest partners, Japan Airlines, has already prepared two proof-of-concept programs ready to use with HoloLens. The new programs will focus on providing training to mechanics and would be pilots.
