SteelSeries has recently announced the new Apex M750 RGB mechanical gaming keyboard. The Apex M750 features a stylish aerospace aluminium front plate, SteelSeries QX2 mechanical switches, RGB backlighting and macros managed using the SteelSeries Engine software.

The biggest feature of the SteelSeries Apex M750 is the SteelSeries/Gateron QX2 switches which are coming to the US for the first time. These are also the second SteelSeries mechanical switches to be released after the company revealed the SteelSeries QS1 switch in 2015.

For the Apex M750, SteelSeries will only offer the QX2 Red linear mechanical switch version for fast-paced gaming however, SteelSeries previous Apex M650 also featured the QX2 switches in Blue, Black, and Brown switch varieties. The QX2 Red linear switch in the Apex M750 should be fairly similar to Cherry MX Red with an actuation distance of 2mm, a total travel distance of 4mm, and 45cN actuation force.

The SteelSeries Apex M750 is now available for $139.99. Those who want a wristrest can also purchase a matching wristrest for $14.99.
