Apple Offers Temporary Discounts on USB Type-C Adapters for New MacBook Pros

While Apple’s decision to go exclusive on USB-C ports with their new MacBook Pros may have been due to a desire to deliver the most advanced laptop with the most courageous interfaces possible, it doesn’t change the fact that customers of the new laptop will need to purchase a slew of new adapters in order to use most of their current external devices. Gigabyte’s Z87X-UD7 TH Packs Dual Thunderbolt 2 Ports, Up to 20 Gb/s Bandwidth Each

If fast external interfaces is something that piques your interest, then this latest announcement from Gigabyte is bound to put a smile on your face.

Gigabyte has recently announced that their Z87X-UD7 TH motherboard is now Thunderbolt 2 certified. Code-named “Falcon Ridge”, Thunderbolt 2 doubles the bandwidth of first generation Thunderbolt by aggregating previously separate channels within the Thunderbolt interface giving users access to up to 20Gb/s (~2,560MB/s) via a single external interface!
