Prepare Your Wallets: Steam Summer Sale is Starting on June 22

Ready your wallets, boys and girls. Paypal has just confirmed that the annual Steam Summer Sale 2017 will start on June 22.

The leak came from the Paypal UK Twitter feed. It has also announced that in addition to the sale pricing, PayPal customers in the UK will get an extra £5 off on a single purchase over £2o.

Blizzard Hints at Remastering Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3

In a recent job posting, Blizzard subtly dropped hints indicating that it’s planning on working on remastered editions of several of its classics such as Diablo and Warcraft. The job listing states:

Classic Games is looking for a renaissance designer to harmonize that which was, with that which will be. Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo await your machinations. If you have the desire to rise to that challenge, we’d love to hear from you.

It’s unclear if Blizzard is simply looking for an extra hand to integrate its classic lineups into newer titles or if in fact they’re planning on full remasters of their classics, but considering they [...]

GTA V Suffering Massive Customer Backlash After Shutting Down 3rd Party Mods

Rockstar Games and its publisher Take-Two is under fire from massive community backlash after shutting down several 3rd party modding tools for its popular open world action game, GTA V.

While Rockstar Games didn’t completely remove modding support, they recently issued a cease-and-desist notices to the developers of OpenIV, the biggest modding tool for GTA V, as well as several others. In the letters, Take-Two claimed that the software “allow third parties to defeat security features of its software and modify that software in violation Take-Two rights”. Destiny 2 Free with Purchase of Nvidia GTX 1080 or GTX 1080 Ti

Gamers looking to upgrade their rigs after all the eye-watering E3 announcements will be happy to know that Nvidia is including a free copy of Destiny 2 with the purchase of any GTX 1080 and GTX 1080 Ti. The bundle deal extends to laptops equipped with GTX 1080 as well.

Also included with the bundle is access to the early beta which starts on July 18 for PS4 players and August for PC players.

The game will be released on PS4 on September 6. The PC version is slated to arrive in October.

FarCry 5 Takes Players to Montana

A teaser reveals that FarCry 5 will take place in Montana.

The 41 second clip shows an eerily quiet, vast landscape laced with danger.  Screams can be heard from the distance as well as gunshots, and dead bodies seem to populate the river. An unconventional way to ring church bells can also be seen.

The live-action teaser shows a variety of climates the player can expect to find themselves in. More details of the game will be revealed on May 26.

“Call of Duty: WWII” Coming November 3

The upcoming Call of Duty: WWII will bring the player back to the second great war, breaking the futuristic theme that’s been recurring in the past few Call of Duty Titles.

The reveal trailer replicates the intensely morose atmosphere of Normandy. The player will take on the role of a single soldier and live through his journey in the epic campaign.

The game is available for pre-order now at callofduty.com and will be released on November 3, 2017.

Destiny 2 Confirmed for PC

PC is destined for greatness, and thus Destiny 2 will be coming to PC.

In Bungie’s pre-purchase page, a “PC” option is available in the platform selection menu. PC gamers get the full array of editions including the Collectors Edition, which nets you a messenger bag, solar panel USB charger, paracord, and solar blanket on top of the game itself.

Destiny was a massive hit in the console community with its excellent blend of MMO and FPS elements. What new features Destiny 2 will have is still a mystery, but at least now PC gamers can look forward to its release, too.

Destiny 2 Officially Announced, Worldwide Reveal Trailer Coming March 30

The sequel to Bungie and Activision’s massively popular first-person shooter was recently teased on the studio’s official Twitter page along with a teaser trailer.

The teaser trailer, titled “Last Call”, shows Cayde-6 sharing war stories while downing a green drink. In the flashbacks, Destiny’s The Last City gets destroyed while Cayde-6 provides some entertaining commentary of the event. Unfortunately, no actual gameplay was revealed, but it does reveal that a “worldwide reveal trailer” is coming on March 30, presumably with actual gameplay.

Starcraft: Remastered Coming This Summer, Original Game Goes Free-to-Play

Starcraft is without a question the biggest competitive RTS series to have ever existed. Though Starcraft II has been out for 7 years, the original Starcraft is still going strong and continues to be played around the world. Due to its popularity, Blizzard has announced the Remastered edition of Starcraft and Starcraft: Brood War which is slated to launch this summer.

The biggest change in the Remastered Edition will be the graphics. The game will have refined textures, effects, and sounds. It will also have proper support for 4K resolution. Blizzard Ending Support for Windows XP and Vista Later This Year

Looks like Microsoft isn’t the only company no longer supporting older versions of Windows. Blizzard has officially announced the final end of support for Windows XP and Vista. Affected games include Starcraft, World of Warcraft, Heartstone, Diablo, and Heroes of the Storm.

According to a post on Blizzard’s Battle.net community forums,
