Civilization VI announced for October 2016

Fans of the addictive turn-based strategy game were greeted with a teaser trailer for the forthcoming entry in the beloved series. Destined for release on the 21st of October, the two-minute trailer, narrated by Sean Bean shows no gameplay footage of any kind, a common characteristic of previous game announcements. Firaxis, developers of 2010’s Civilization V, have promised that there will be no significant changes to the new game, instead opting for gameplay features that keep players “on their toes”. E3 2015: Disney Infinity 3.0 Inside Out Character Playset

Ever since Disney re-imagined and popularized collectible figures that “interact” with their games, a number of major companies such as Activision, Nintendo, and even Lego have jumped on the bandwagon introducing their own interactive collectibles. While these companies’ have few games and characters based on relatively new brands and stories, Disney has a seemingly never ending repertoire of characters from the days of hand drawn Uncle Walt originals to a bunch of newly created characters including those from their new film, Inside Out.

E3 2015: Microsoft Pulls 180, Xbox Gets its Groove Back

With the radically different Windows 10 arriving on machines later next month, change has been in the air for Seattle based Microsoft, who recently held a press conference at E3 2015.

At their press conference, Microsoft practically reinvented the struggling Xbox One, giving it a number of updates, both hardware and software, that were desperately needed when the system launched two years ago.

E3 2015: Bethesda Drops Sneak Peeks of Fallout 4, Doom Gameplay

Bethesda held their first E3 press conference a day before E3 started and while it’s too early to say for sure, they may have just stolen the show.

After last week’s teaser trailer for Fallout 4, the popular software company provided an early peek at some of the new features of their long running series. Improvements include the inclusion of a non-silent protagonist, the ability to build and maintain forts and bases, as well as various graphical improvements and a new engine. Spotify, the popular music streaming service, has announced several new additions to their repertoire; including original video content, podcasts, and a new way for runners to enjoy their music on the go.

Tidal Titleholder Trash Talks Tech Titans

Jay-Z  (aka Young Hov, Jigga, et al), viciously tore into Apple, Google, and streaming service Spotify during a free concert over the weekend promoting Tidal.

The record producer turned entrepreneur has been under fire for quite some time regarding his entry into the rapidly expanding music streaming service. Bethesda Releases New Doom Teaser Trailer

Bethesda recently showed off a brief teaser of their highly anticipated first person shooter, Doom. Doom, the fourth major installment in the Doom series, was originally announced all the way back in 2008, but was delayed numerous times in development.

The short trailer released recently doesn’t really show much, but it gives us something to look forward to. The publisher is expected to show off more footage at E3 next month, but for now, enjoy the *short* video.
