Razer Launches Hammerhead BT Wireless and Hammerhead for iOS In-Ear Headsets

Razer is expanding their Hammerhead lineup of in-ear headphones with a new Hammerhead BT wireless headset as well as a new Hammerhead wired headset designed for use with iOS Lightning devices. The two new headphones complement the already existing Razer Hammerhead V2 and Razer Hammerhead Pro V2.

Similar to the rest of the Razer Hammerhead in-ear headsets, the two new additions to the Hammerhead lineup will feature 10mm drivers along with a carrying case for easy transport.

Razer Issues Warning Regarding Scam Emails

Razer recently sent out a warning to its users in regards to fake e-mails containing malware disguised as a fake sponsorship email from Razer.

The fake e-mail offers an invalid sponsorship from Razer. Upon clicking the link provided in the e-mail, the link will redirect its victim to a malware application.

One tell-tale sign of a fake e-mail is that it comes from a Gmail account instead of an official Razer e-mail account. The e-mail is also riddled with grammatical and spelling errors.

Razer Launches Power Bank for Blade Stealth Laptop, Mobile Devices

In a recent announcement, Razer has launched the new Razer Power Bank designed to be used with the Razer Blade Stealth 12.5″ laptop.

Constructed out of CNC aluminum, the Razer Power Bank packs a 12,800 mAh battery and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology, providing the Razer Blade Stealth 12.5″ laptop with an additional six hours of battery life on a two hour charge.

In addition to compatibility with the Razer Blade Stealth, the Razer Power Bank is also compatible with your other USB powered mobile as it also includes both USB Type-A and USB Type-C ports.

The Razer Power Bank will be available beginning in March for $149.99.

Razer Updates 14-inch Razer Blade: Adds Kaby Lake, UHD Screen Option

If you’ve been eyeing a new Razer Blade 14-inch gaming laptop, you’ll be glad to know that Razer just refreshed the components onboard, now featuring Intel’s recently released Kaby Lake 7th Generation Intel Core i7 Processor and an option for a 4K UHD touchscreen, which will be available for the first time on the 14-inch model.

Razer Acquires Nextbit Systems, Prepares Possible Entry into the Smartphone Market

Razer has been doing some serious shopping lately first acquiring famous audio company THX in late 2016 and according to a recent announcement, they’ve also picked up yet another company, Nextbit Systems Inc.

Nextbit, the company behind the popular cloud connected Robin smartphone, quickly saw a lot of success with the Robin which was a decent mid-range smartphone with a pricetag of just $299 and could be regularly found during the holidays for under $200.

Razer Announces New BlackWidow Chroma V2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, Adds Yellow Switch Option

Razer’s BlackWidow Chroma mechanical gaming keyboard is one of our favorite mechanical gaming keyboards here at Custom PC Review and it looks like Razer is giving it a minor update for 2017.

As a minor update, Razer is for the most part keeping the design of the V2 version of the keyboard the same as the original except it will now feature a magnetic wrist-rest which should help make the keyboard a bit more comfortable for long typing or gaming sessions. Razer will also debut a new switch option as well which will be their new Razer Yellow switch, a linear switch with 45g of actuation force similar in specs to the Cherry MX Red switch.

Razer’s Stolen Prototype Gaming Laptop Discovered for Sale in China

During CES 2017, Razer reported that several of their precious Project Valerie triple-monitor gaming laptop prototypes were stolen from the show floor. Now we may have some clues as to where it went.

According to a recent screenshot, it appears that the laptop was up for sale at Taobao. According to the ad, the laptop is for sale at a price of CNY 150,000, which translates to around $21,739.76 USD.

No information on whether the seller actually has the laptop or if it’s a hoax, nor were we able to find the ad for ourselves as it’s been taken down at this time. Guess the crooks realized it was a stupid idea to list highly publicized stolen products on [...]

CES 2017: Razer Demos Project Valerie Triple Display Laptop, Project Ariana Gaming Projector

At CES 2017, we got a chance to visit the Razer booth before all their stuff was stolen. Two products are under the spotlight at Razer’s CES booth included Project Ariana and Project Valerie. While both products are considered to be proof of concept, Razer did have the prototypes to show off.

At the very front of the booth is Razer’s biggest eye catcher: a gaming laptop featuring triple 4K displays dubbed project Valerie. This 12lb colossus is Razer’s solution of making a triple monitor setup as compact as possible. In the private press booth, Razer had a demo running Battlefield 1 at practically 12K.
