MSI just unveiled the latest in their new lineup of GeForce GTX 1080 and 1070 graphics cards. The Sea Hawk EK EX, which as the name implies is produced in partnership with EKWB. It features a custom, full-cover EK water block and is geared towards DIY enthusiasts that wish to build their own custom water-cooling loops.
The design of the block consists of a full-cover, transparent plexiglass, with a nickel-plated block for cooling the actual components in the middle. It features a split, central inlet which MSI claims “delivers the best cooling performance, even with less powerful water pumps.” Around back is a premium matte black back plate, which features the MSI Gaming Dragon, matching the one at the front featured on the block itself.
The card comes in both GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 versions, both of which measure 278 x 165 x 20 mm and include 3x DisplayPort, HDMI and dual-link DVI-D ports for connectivity. They also seem to be powered by both 8-pin and 6-pin PCIe connectors, for additional overclocking headroom. No word on pricing or availability yet.
