First Person Shooter, or FPS, games are one of the most common gaming genres out there, but when it comes to gaming mice designed specifically for the genre, there is surprisingly very few out there. Of course, if you ask any professional FPS gamer, it’s easy to understand why. As FPS gaming relies almost solely on the quality of the main switches along with the accuracy of the sensor, FPS gamers typically select simple mice with quality switches and ultra-accurate sensors making gaming mice such as the Zowie EC2, Razer DeathAdder Elite, Logitech G Pro, or SteelSeries Rival 300 some of the most popular gaming mice for FPS gamers.
Of course, [...]
A couple of months back, we reviewed the SteelSeries 7H Fnatic Edition gaming headset and for the most part, we got a good taste of why Fnatic chose the 7H as their officially endorsed product – it was a great headset.
This is why today, we’ll be reviewing another Fnatic endorsed product from our friends over at SteelSeries, the SteelSeries Sensei Fnatic gaming mouse. Whereas the SteelSeries 7H Fnatic Edition gaming headset had some Fnatic only features included with the Fnatic edition of the headset such as the amazing SND Block material used for the earcups, the SteelSeries Sensei also gets you a bit of that special functionality. [...]
As a product reviewer, I get the opportunity to test a lot of products so when companies go out of the norm, and produce something unique, I do my best to get my hands on it. This is why today we’ll be checking out one of those new and unique products from a relatively new company in the gaming peripherals market, Leetgion. Make no mistake however, Leetgion isn’t exactly new to the computer industry as their parent company is the well-known computer cooling specialist, Thermalright.
In terms of design, Leetgion really gave the Hellion a design unlike any other as they’ve included a Cherry MX Blue mechanical switch onto the mouse [...]
Taking a stroll in the gaming peripheral section of any tech shop, you’re bound to run into a couple of exotic looking gaming mice. These are usually the eye-grabbers with their fancy shapes, flashy lights, and a seemingly infinite amount of macro keys. They make you say “Wow! look at that one, I bet it’d look bad ass sitting next to my keyboard!”, and eventually persuade some to impulsively empty their wallet.
People today seem too immersed in a product’s presentation and hype rather than how well it can do its intended job. Maybe this is why some companies seek to deviate from that trend, creating products that [...]
We’ve reviewed a lot of products here at Custom PC Review, many of which simply pursue functionality and skimp on design. Is this a bad thing? Nope, not at all. At the end of the day, it’s almost always about how well products work that really counts. However, sometimes you just want something fancier – something that will make anyone who looks at your desk say “Hey, that’s a really cool gadget, where can I find one?”
Today we’ll be checking out a couple such products – the Cooler Master CM Storm Sentinel Advance II along with the Speed RX mouse pad.
At first [...]
For every great game, there’s always game themed peripherals. While only some of these peripherals offer gamers an in game advantage, all of them serve another purpose – to show off your favorite game through your gaming peripherals. Since SteelSeries is the official peripheral provider of World of Warcraft gear, it’s no surprise as to why Blizzard chose SteelSeries as the official partner for Diablo 3 peripherals.
Most of you are probably familiar with Diablo 2. After all it held the Guinness Book of World Records 2000 edition “Fastest Selling Computer Game Ever Sold” record. So, when its successor, Diablo 3 was [...]
For most of us, gaming peripherals such as keyboard and mice are always on the top of our list when it comes to upgrades for our gaming rigs. After all, it’s the interface that connects us to our games. However, when we do end up buying that new $150 gaming headset, the new $150 gaming keyboard, and the new $150 gaming mouse, for some reason the gaming mousepad doesn’t come into the picture. Why? Well, it seems like mice these days work regardless of surface. They work on glass, they work on wood, and they certainly work on that cool looking “That’s what she said!” mousepad you got for your birthday. So why [...]
