Astro Gaming Announces DreamHack Open 2018 Sponsorship

Astro Gaming has officially announced that they will once again be sponsoring DreamHack Open for the 2018 year. Starting in 2012, DreamHack Open is one of the largest gaming tournaments every year. For 2018, DreamHack Open will feature eight live events in Europe and North America with a total prize pool of $800,000. DreamHack Open will feature the popular FPS, CS: GO where eight teams will compete live for a $100,000 prize pool. The first of the eight events has already taken place in Leipzig, Germany in January.

Phantom Trigger Alpha Build Now Available on PC

For fans of of school style games, the awesome team at tinyBuild & Bread team have recently announced that the alpha build for Phantom Trigger is now available on PC.

Phantom Trigger is an “8-bit” style throwback to the days of yesteryear. There has been a good number of game developers going the approach of old school style and if you are a fan, this game holds some promise. This neon slasher is a fun button masher with a few puzzle elements mixed in for an enjoyable mix of game play.

Reddit User Returns StarCraft Gold Master Source Disk to Blizzard, Gets a Ton of Goodies and Trip to BlizzCon

According to a recent Reddit post, Reddit user Khemist49 recently purchased a bunch of old Blizzard stuff off Ebay and came across an interesting disk labeled “STARCRAFT Gold Master Source Code”. Upon realizing the disk actually contained the gold master source code for the original StarCraft game, Khemist49 got in touch with Blizzard, and promptly sent the disk back to Blizzard where it was confirmed to be genuine, known to be missing and possibly stolen.

Street Fighter V Slated for Spring 2016, Who’s Ready for the Beat Down?

Those who know me know that I’m a huge fan of all things Capcom. Very few things are as exciting to me as news of upcoming games such as Mega Man, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, etc., but nothing, and I mean nothing, stirs my soul more than hearing of a new Street Fighter game!

For those who missed it, Capcom announced late last year that Street Fighter V is coming to PC and PS4 (Sorry Xbox), which is awesome news to someone who has loved almost every game in the franchise for more than 25 years!
