MSI has recently hit the 100 million Nvidia graphics card milestone and will be commemorating the accomplishment with the release of a limited edition MSI GTX 970 Gaming 100ME Limited Edition graphics card.

Currently being showcased at CES 2015, the MSI GTX 970 Gaming 100ME edition will bear Nvidia’s signature black and green color scheme, a green LED logo at the top of the heatsink shroud, and a new backplate to the back side of the PCB. MSI tells us that the metal used on the new card is also significantly lighter than in the original MSI GTX 970 Gaming so the MSI GTX 970 Gaming 100ME Edition will be a lighter card than its non-special cousin.

As expected, the MSI GTX 970 Gaming 100ME has all the usual goodies you’d find in a MSI gaming graphics card. For the new card, MSI is using their Twin Frozr V technology which includes SuperSU heatpipes, Torx fans, and Zero Frozr technology. Heat is transferred through the aluminium heat sink via 8mm SuperSU heat pipes. A pair of 100mm MSI Torx fans with unique grooved blades concentrates air onto the heatsink, improving the airflow by 19% with a 5% reduction in noise. Additionally, Zero Frozr technology reduces fan noise by turning off fans when the GPU is cool.

The MSI GTX 970 Gaming 100ME is expected to ship 1Q2015. Pricing is unknown at this time.
