Samsung is one of the largest manufacturers of LCD panels in the world, so it’s natural that they had quite a few displays to show at CES. While their new QLED TVs were the highlight of the show, Samsung also showed off a slew of monitors based on their Quantum Dot display technology.
The most impressive of Samsung’s displays is the Samsung CF791. Spanning across 34-inches of ultrawide screen real estate, the Samsung CF791 features a VA panel with Quantum Dot technology which allows the display to achieve a contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and 125% sRGB coverage. For CES 2017, Samsung will be launching their new CH711 Quantum Dot curved monitor designed specifically for gamers in mind. Available in 27-inch and 31.5-inch variants, the CH711 will feature Samsung’s Quantum Dot display technology, a 2,560 x 1,440 WQHD resolution and 125% sRGB color coverage. It’ll also feature an 1,800R curvature and an ultrawide 178-degree viewing angle so the picture will be accurate from virtually anywhere in the room.
The CH711 Quantum Dot will be showcased at CES 2017 and is expected to be available in early 2017. Pricing information is unavailable at this time.

Not to be outdone by rival Samsung who recently launched two quantum dot curved gaming monitors, LG recently launched three new monitors of their own, each with some seriously awesome features.
The first monitor is the LG 38UC99, which is a massive 38″ UltraWide curved monitor designed for the workstation user. Sporting a 21:9 UltraWide aspect ratio, the LG 38UC99 features IPS panel technology capable of displaying up to 99% of the sRGB color space and a phenomenal QHD+ (3840×1600) resolution. For IFA 2016, Samsung is launching two new quantum dot curved gaming monitors, the CFG70 (24″, 27″) and the CF791 (34″).
What’s special about the new Samsung CFG70 and CF791 is that they’ll be Samsung’s first quantum dot curved gaming monitors. These quantum dot monitors feature a wide color gamut of up to 125% of the sRGB spectrum and are also the first cadmium-free quantum dot curved monitors which are much more environmentally friendly than previous cadmium based models.
