Nvidia to Launch GeForce GTX 1080 Ti at GDC 2017

There’s no question that AMD has stolen the thunder over the past few weeks with the launch of their highly anticipated Ryzen CPUs, but Nvidia wants you to know that they have something coming out as well.

Nvidia recently added a popover on their site which includes a countdown timer that’s about 6 days and a bit away (February 28th) with the line “IT’S ALMOST TIME #ULTIMATEGEFORCE” with the bolded TI of course referring to the upcoming flagship GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card.

Nvidia’s Quadro GP100 Announced, Will Supercharge Your Deep Learning and Design Capabilities

Kicking off the Solidworks World conference currently being held in Los Angeles, California, Nvidia recently announced that the supergrandaddy GP100 GPU has finally trickled its way into a Quadro workstation card.

Known by its street name, “The Big Pascal”, the GP100 GPU is the massive GPU powering the Tesla P100 which features 16.5 billion transistors spread across a 610mm² die. In comparison, the GP102 GPU used in the flagship consumer Titan X has just 12 billion transistors and a 471mm² die.

CES 2017: Samsung Shows Off Odyssey Gaming Notebook Lineup

The Samsung Odyssey lineup of gaming notebooks will be Samsung’s first attempt at a laptop designed for gaming from the ground up and at CES 2017, we had the chance of checking out the lineup for ourselves.

The Samsung Odyssey gaming notebook lineup will come in two flavors which include the 15.6-inch and the 17.3-inch versions.

The 15.6-inch Samsung Odyssey is a more compact gaming notebook which features an Intel Core i7 processor, up to 32GB DDR4 RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics, and up to 256GB SSD + 1TB SSD for storage.

Nvidia Releases High-Level Abstraction Layer For Vulkan

Nvidia recently published a high-level abstraction layer for the Vulkan API. Dubbed VkHLF (Vulkan High-Level Framework), this new framework aims to simplify the task of creating content for game developers.

VkHLF is an experimental high level abstraction library on top of Vulkan. It adds features like transparent suballocation, resource tracking on the CPU & GPU and simplified resource creation while staying as close as possible to the original Vulkan API.

CES 2017: NVIDIA Announces G-Sync HDR, First Displays Available 2Q2017

Following AMD’s recent FreeSync 2 announcement, Nvidia countered with G-Sync HDR, which is an evolution of the existing G-Sync technology with the addition of HDR (High Dynamic Range) support.

CES 2017: Mass Effect Andromeda Release Date Revealed

It’s official! Mass Effect Andromeda will arrive on March 21, 2017, or 321. During Nvidia’s CES 2017 keynote, BioWare General Manager Aaryn Flynn took the stage with Nvidia CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang to unveil a never before seen gameplay trailer and release date.

NVIDIA Announces GeForce GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti Mobile

Earlier this week, Nvidia has finally announced the specifications for the 1050 and 1050Ti mobile graphics chips.

Just like with the rest of the Pascal mobile solutions, as opposed to appending “M” to indicate that it’s a mobile component, Nvidia has decided to keep the same name for both mobile and desktop versions of the GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti, indicating that these chips will offer similar if not identical performance as their desktop counterparts.

Dell Accidentally Reveals XPS 15 9560 Laptop Featuring GeForce GTX 1050

According to some keen eyes at VideoCardz.com, Dell recently put up a product page for their upcoming XPS 15 9560 laptop with some very interesting specs. Among others, the laptop is expected to feature a 15-inch UHD (3840×2160) display, Intel Kaby Lake CPU, and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 with up to 4GB of VRAM. The sepcs were previously detailed on the XPS 15 9560 product page which has now been removed.

Nvidia GeForce 376.33 Drivers Fixes Bugs, Kernel Security Vulnerabilities

Nvidia recently released their GeForce 376.33 Game Ready drivers which fixes a number of bugs including one which caused corruption in YouTube video playback in Windows 10. Nvidia also fixed a host of kernel vulnerabilities which could potentially be used for escalation of privileges or denial of service attacks.

The new GeForce 376.33 Game Ready drivers can be downloaded directly via GeForce Experience or those running more minimal installs can download the drivers here.
