Cooler Master has been in the enthusiast computer case and cpu cooler industry for ages and it seems pretty logical that they’re now moving into the gaming peripheral market as well. The CM Storm Sirus 5.1 Surround Sound Gaming headset is Cooler Master’s first entry into the headset market so lets see what it has to offer!

Conclusion

All in all, the CM Storm Sirus 5.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset does what it’s advertised to do at a price that’s more than reasonable. The design of the headset is excellent albeit a bit heavy for my tastes. Otherwise the inclusion of both cloth and leather earpads are a nice touch not often seen done by other manufacturers.

The performance of the headset was spot on and the 5.1 surround works very well. Unfortunately pure music performance didn’t perform as some of the other leading headsets on the market, but this was to be expected as most music is recorded in stereo and not in 5.1.

Mic quality was great as well, but noise cancelling could be reduced a tad.

Other than these minor issues, this is an excellent headset.
