Sam ChenSeptember 29, 2016

Razer today announced the updated Razer Kraken v2 gaming headset lineup featuring the new Razer Kraken V2 Pro and the Razer Kraken v2 7.1. The new headsets bring quite a few new features to the table, chief among them being a new custom tuned driver and an all aluminum unibody frame.

The new drivers used on the Razer Kraken V2 lineup are now custom tuned 50mm drivers which are larger than those found on previous generation Kraken headsets. The larger drivers will provide a wider frequency range and a more powerful bass response. The new Kraken V2 lineup will also feature an aluminum unibody frame which is more durable and flexible than other headset framing materials.

The new frame has been tested to withstand a number of common stressors including drops, bending, rough handling, and more. Additionally, Razer also redesigned the headband for balanced weight distribution and reduced clamping force to maximize comfort during long gaming sessions. New ear cushions will also now be available separately including oval shaped ear cushions and the new ear cushions also feature special built-in channels for games who wear glasses.
