According to a recent press release, Cooler Master recently launched a very exciting new tenkeyless keyboard, the NovaTouch TKL, designed for performance typists and gamers.

To offer the ultimate typing experience, the NovaTouch TKL uses a special type of switch that Cooler Master calls “Hybrid Capacitive Switches”. These switches, more commonly known as Topre switches, include both a spring and a capacitive rubber layer underneath effectively making them a hybird of both rubber dome and mechanical switches. The result of this design is a extremely smooth and quiet yet tactile switch. Additionally, to further reduce noise, the NovaTouch TKL also comes with sound-dampening o-rings pre-installed.

Other features of the Cooler Master NovaTouch TKL include N-Key rollover, adjustable repeat-rate, Cherry MX keycap compatible stems, and a 2-year warranty. Each Cooler Master Hybrid Capacitive Switch also comes with a rated life-cycle of 60 million keystrokes, which is a good 10 million more keystrokes than Cherry MX mechanical switches generally found on the market today.

The Cooler Master NovaTouch TKL carries a MSRP of $199.99 (likely due to the rarity of the switches) and should be available now. More information on the Cooler Master NovaTouch TKL is available on the product page found here.
