Here at Custom PC Review, we love building our own custom PCs and as long as you’re up for it, we’d 100% recommend you do the same, but sometimes it’s just better to leave the PC building to the pros. Whether it’s because you lack the time or your friend who can’t even put together a desk from Ikea asks if it’s a good idea to build a custom water cooled gaming system, there’s plenty of reasons to go with a custom PC builder.

Today we’ll be sharing a few of what we think are the best custom PC builders on the market today.

At CES 2017, we had the opportunity to visit In Win, a company known for making some of the most interesting and innovative PC chassis available today. With a reputation like that, it goes without saying that there are some high expectations for any new product they release, fortunately, we were not disappointed with what they had to offer this year.

In Win Tou 2.0 Mirrored Chassis

Starting off our tour, we took a look at the latest in the company’s “Signature” series of cases: the tou 2.0. Like its predecessor, the tou 2.0 is an all-aluminum chassis fitted with angled tempered glass panels which are fully reflective and mirror-like when the [...]

CES 2017: Phanteks Displays Enthoo Elite, Project 217, 217S Concept Chassis

At CES 2017, we had the opportunity to spend some time with our friends at Phanteks, and take a look at some of their awesome new cases and concept designs which includes their highly anticipated, flagship Enthoo Elite chassis.

Phanteks Launches Enthoo Elite Ultra Full Tower Chassis

The Enthoo Elite is what Phanteks is calling an “Ultra Full Tower” chassis for its massive size, which makes it even larger than your run-of-the-mill full tower chassis. In fact, the system is so large that it can actually house two whole systems, complete with liquid cooling loops.

The final version of the Enthoo Elite includes a number of [...]

Best Gaming Workstation Build Under $1,500 [October 2016]

$1,500 Gaming Workstation Build

One of the most popular builds on our site is the gaming workstation, a hybrid build that’s both great at games yet also is able to pull double duty for workstation activities such as video editing, photoshopping, and even 3D modeling. This makes sense as computers are so versatile that it only makes sense to have a single PC that’s capable of not only playing games, but for doing work as well.

Our budget this month is $1,500 which means we’ll have a relatively high end build although it’s not quite as high end as your maxed out $2,500 build. That said, this build should easily play all your games at the highest [...]

Asus’s New GX700: Water Cooled Mobile Monster

With the upcoming IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung) Consumer Electronic Show in Berlin set to begin on September 4th, many companies have begun to announce their latest products. One of the notable announcements came from Asus with a new flagship gaming laptop, the GX700. This monstrosity is an ode to the desktop replacement laptop as it favours the bulky chassis and follows the sharp, aggressive angular lines signature of ASUS’s Republic of Gamers products such as the the ASUS G751 gaming notebook. In terms of physical stature, the GX700 is comparable to the MSI GT80 Titan, but the headline feature of the GX700 is not a built-in Cherry MX mechanical keyboard, but [...]

Computex 2015: ThermalTake’s New W200 Case Wants You to Go Big or Go Home

In a world where everyone seems to be trying to build smaller and smaller cases, ThermalTake decided to go the complete opposite direction this Computex to build some of the largest cases we’ve ever seen.

Above we have the ThermalTake W200, which is the new flagship case in ThermalTake’s premium lineup. The case literally has enough room for two complete systems (or one system with an insane watercooling setup) and can run pretty much anything you want period.

If that’s not enough space for you or you just want your W200 to sit relatively empty, that’s OK because ThermalTake is also offering a (not so little) add-on [...]

EVGA GeForce GTX 980 HYBRID Equips GTX 980 with AIO Water Cooling

All-in-one CPU cooling has become huge over the past few years and naturally a number of vendors have begun offering all-in-one liquid coolers for GPUs as well. These all-in-one GPU liquid coolers combine an all-in-one liquid cooling unit for the GPU die along with with traditional air based coolers for the VRAM, PWMs, and other components. While it’s still a relatively niche market, big name vendors such as NZXT’s Kraken G10 and Corsair’s HG10 have been on the market for quite some time, and even AMD jumped into the mix using a similar solution for their flagship Radeon R9 295×2.

Not to be outdone, EVGA is now jumping into the bandwagon with [...]
