AORUS X9 Gaming Laptop Packs Two GTX 1070s

Aorus, Gigabyte’s gaming-centric laptop branch, has released the world’s thinnest gaming laptop that packs two Nvidia GTX 1070 GPUs in SLI.

The Aorus X9 is designed for gamers looking to play at QHD/UHD resolutions and is more than VR ready. Complimenting the dual GTX 1070s is an Intel Core i7-7820HK quad-core CPU. The CPU is unlocked, meaning users can overclock it on their own.

Two display options are available: a 17.3″ UHD 3840x2160p IPS display with 100% Adobe RGB color gamut, or a 17.3″ QHD 2560x1440p 120Hz WVA high-refresh rate display. All displays are factory calibrated for the best color accuracy.

HTC Vive Price Cut by $200, Now Priced at $599

VR is now a little bit more accessible as HTC recently cut the price of the HTC Vive by $200 following Oculus Rift’s price cut to $399 after testing the pricecut by running several promotions over the summer.

According to the press release, the HTC Vive will now be permanently priced at $599. With the exception of a PC, the $599 HTC Vive package will include everything you’ll need to get started including the HTC Vive headset, two wireless controllers, two base stations and other accessories. Hands On: Metavision Meta 2 Sub-$1,000 AR Headset

Oculus Rift Bundle Now Discounted to $399, For a Limited Time

It looks like Oculus is making a more aggressive push now that VR as well as VR capable gaming PC technology has matured significantly over the past few years.

DisplayLink’s XR Wireless VR System is the Future of VR

Ask anyone who’s played a game in VR and they’ll immediately tell you that one of the biggest issues with VR today is that the headset needs to be wired in.
