AORUS X9 Gaming Laptop Packs Two GTX 1070s

Aorus, Gigabyte’s gaming-centric laptop branch, has released the world’s thinnest gaming laptop that packs two Nvidia GTX 1070 GPUs in SLI.

The Aorus X9 is designed for gamers looking to play at QHD/UHD resolutions and is more than VR ready. Complimenting the dual GTX 1070s is an Intel Core i7-7820HK quad-core CPU. The CPU is unlocked, meaning users can overclock it on their own.

Two display options are available: a 17.3″ UHD 3840x2160p IPS display with 100% Adobe RGB color gamut, or a 17.3″ QHD 2560x1440p 120Hz WVA high-refresh rate display. All displays are factory calibrated for the best color accuracy.

Oculus Rift + Touch Gets Massive Pricecut, Bundle Now Priced at $598

With development of games, productivity, shopping, social media, and other applications for VR growing by the day, there is no doubt that VR is on track to becoming the next big thing in tech. HTC, HP Announce Vive VR Ready Envy 750 PC Bundle

A couple weeks ago, Oculus announced a cheap $499 VR ready gaming PC in partnership with boutique PC builder CyberPowerPC and it looks like HTC is ready to fire back with a VR PC partnership of its own.

According to a recent announcement, HTC is partnering up with HP to announce a VR gaming bundle which includes the HTC Vive headset along with the HP Envy 750-415VHR PC for $1,499. Specs on the HP Envy 750-415VHR include an Intel Core i5-6400 Quad Core CPU, 8GB DDR4 memory, Radeon RX480 graphics card, and 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD. Meet AMD, CyberPowerPC’s $499 VR Gaming PC

Earlier, we reported that Oculus CEO had announced a new technology called Asynchronous Space Warp, which allowed the Rift to work with lower-end systems than before. The company also announced a $499, VR Ready PC which is produced by CyberPowerPC and powered by AMD hardware. Now, we finally have a look at that system and its specifications.

CES 2016: EVGA Announces VR-Ready GeForce GTX 980 Ti VR Edition Graphics Card

EVGA has just announced its first “VR Ready” graphics card which comes out of the box with extra options specifically made for VR headsets. The GeForce GTX 980 Ti VR Edition includes a 5.25-inch/3.5-inch front-panel that gives you a front-facing HDMI 2.0 port, as well as a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 ports, which is connected via a standard USB 3.0 header on your motherboard. NVIDIA Announces VR-Ready Certification Program

Today, computer graphics giant NVIDIA has unveiled a brand new initiative for help alleviate some of the confusion around VR gaming. The company has partnered with PC and notebook makers as well as add-in board manufacturers, for what they call their “GeForce GTX VR-Ready” certification program.
