AMD Radeon RX Vega GPU Benchmarks Leaked, Outperforms GTX 1080 in OpenCL Performance

Some keen eyes over at Videocardz recently discovered that benchmarks for the highly anticipated AMD Radeon RX Vega GPU have inadvertently been leaked in the CompuBench benchmark database. The leaked benchmarks also reveal some GPU specifications for the first time including potential clock speeds and compute unit count.

Starting off, we can see that the leaked CompuBench benchmarks shows a device ID 687F:C1. This is the same device ID of the AMD Radeon RX Vega GPU that we saw running the Doom 4K demo at CES.

Using the information on the info page, we get several important pieces of information about the GPU.

Nvidia Job Postings Suggest Nvidia GPU Return to Apple Computers

The keen eyes over at Bloomberg recently spotted several job posting from Nvidia which may suggest a return of Nvidia GPUs to Apple computers.

Some of the jobs that were recently posted include “METAL COMPUTER AND OPENCL SOFTWARE ENGINEER – MAC“, “METAL AND OPENGL SOFTWARE ENGINEER – MAC“, and “SENIOR SYSTEM SOFTWARE ENGINEER“. AMD Announces New Tonga-Based FirePro S7150 and S1750 x2 GPUs

AMD have just announced their latest pair of server GPUs, the FirePro S7150 and the dual-GPU S1750 x2. Both of the new graphics cards feature AMD’s Tonga (Antigua)  GPU cores, which are also found in mainstream components such as the R9 285, R9 380 and R9 380X. The new cards represent AMD’s first fully hardware virtualized GPU components. Gainward Phantom GTX 680 4GB Released

Gainward, a global graphics card manufacturer, recently unveiled their latest creation – the Phantom GTX 680 4GB. As the name suggests, the Phantom GTX680 4GB will feature 4GB of onboard memory, making Gainward one of the first manufacturers to release a GTX 680 with this much onboard memory.
