Cherry Announces Gentix Silent Mouse Designed for Quiet Environments

Mouse click sounds aren’t an issue when you’re alone, but they may be annoying when you’re seated close to a co-worker or working in a public space such as a library. Cherry’s new Gentix Silent mouse aims to solve that problem.

Unlike your typical mouse, the Cherry Gentix Silent uses a new Cherry silent switch that eliminates the sound of button clicks. It comes equipped with a 1,000DPI optical sensor, which may not be enough for gamers, but more than enough for office or library work. The ergonomic, symmetrical design is suitable for ambidextrous use and its flat, compact profile also makes it easier to lug around, although you’ll have to [...]

Razer Basilisk Review

FPS Gaming Mouse

First Person Shooter, or FPS, games are one of the most common gaming genres out there, but when it comes to gaming mice designed specifically for the genre, there is surprisingly very few out there. Of course, if you ask any professional FPS gamer, it’s easy to understand why. As FPS gaming relies almost solely on the quality of the main switches along with the accuracy of the sensor, FPS gamers typically select simple mice with quality switches and ultra-accurate sensors making gaming mice such as the Zowie EC2, Razer DeathAdder Elite, Logitech G Pro, or SteelSeries Rival 300 some of the most popular gaming mice for FPS gamers.

Of course, [...]

Razer Lancehead Review

Razer’s Flagship Wireless Gaming Mouse

Several weeks ago, we were able to get our hands on Razer’s new wired ambidextrous eSports grade gaming mouse, the Razer Lancehead Tournament Edition, which we were quite impressed with. While a portion of the advertised features weren’t available at the time of the review (Synapse 3 is required for the Hybrid On-Board functionality), the Razer Lancehead TE still proved to be a fantastic gaming mouse with a flawless sensor, an excellent design and a reasonable price point.

Along with the Lancehead TE, Razer also launched the Razer Lancehead, which we’ll be reviewing today. The main difference between the [...]

Razer Introduces Mercury White, Gunmetal Grey Color Options on Peripherals

Aside from a few oddities and of course the themed gaming peripherals, Razer products have always maintained the black and green color scheme the company is most well known for. While that’s probably cool with most gamers, those who want more color options will now get an opportunity as well.

According to a new promo video posted to Razer’s YouTube page, the company is now offering the Mercury White and Gunmetal Grey color options for its most popular peripherals. Users looking to purchase a Blackwidow X mechanical gaming keyboard, Razer Lancehead gaming mouse, Razer Kraken 7.1 headphones, or Razer Invicta mouse pad can now find the new color options in the [...]

Razer Launches BlackWidow Chroma V2 Tournament Edition

Razer today launched its BlackWidow Chroma V2 Tournament Edition, a follow up to the BlackWidow Chroma Tournament Edition that was released back in 2015.

Like its predecessor, the Razer BlackWidow Tournament Edition (TE) Chroma V2 uses a tenkeyless design, which removes the number pad to provide more room for the mouse on the right-hand side. The more compact form factor could also allow gamers to position the keyboard closer to the center relative to the gamer’s hand, which may be more ergonomic for some gamers.

As expected, the Razer BlackWidow TE Chroma V2 is a mechanical keyboard featuring Razer’s Green, Orange or Yellow switches. The [...]

SteelSeries Releases Sensei 310 and Rival 310 Gaming Mice

SteelSeries’ expertise in peripherals is legendary. Now, with the release of its Sensei 310 and Rival 310 gaming mice, the popular gaming peripherals company is looking to raise it to a whole new level.

What makes the Sensei 310 and Rival 310 special is the sensor that they carry. The new TrueMove3 sensor guarantees 1-to-1 tracking performance at sub-3,500DPI settings without the need of a jitter reduction algorithm. When pushed beyond 3,500DPI, an advanced tracking correction algorithm kicks in, which SteelSeries promises that it will introduce minimal latency. The sensor has a sensitivity ceiling of 12,000 DPI, but almost no gamer would ever play at [...]

The Best Gaming Keyboards of 2019

When it boils down to it, one of the most important components of your new gaming PC is the keyboard. Aside from the mouse, the keyboard, and maybe a gaming controller there’s literally nothing else that translates what you want to do to the PC. Unless you invest mind control… or something.

Over the past few years, one of the most popular categories of gaming keyboards have been the mechanical gaming keyboards. Unlike the cheap, soft and mushy rubber dome keyboards, mechanical gaming keyboards offer a better feel, more consistent actuation, better overall performance, and better reliability.

That said, with the increased popularity of mechanical [...]
