So far, NVIDIA has introduced a number of cards based on its latest Pascal micro-architecture. Including, Titan Pascal, GTX 1080, GTX 1070 and GTX 1060 6GB and 3GB variants. With those models, NVIDIA is able to cover price segments from $1,200 all the way down to $190, however until now the company seemed unwilling to bring their latest tech into the sub-$200 market where AMD currently offers a number of solutions including the $179 RX 470 and the $119 RX 460. Today, a very interesting leak appeared thanks to the folks over at Benchlife.

E3 2016: Razer Announces Naga Hex V2 MOBA Gaming Mouse

For E3 2016, Razer took the wraps off their shiny new Naga Hex V2 MOBA gaming mouse which has a redesigned button layout, new aesthetics, and an updated sensor.

The biggest change to the Razer Naga Hex V2 is that it now has seven side buttons arranged in a ring rather than six from the original Naga Hex. At the center of the keys is a raised island with extra coarse thumb grip on top.

The shell also received an upgrade to the new matte black finish that graces most of Razer’s new peripherals lineup.

Each of the buttons is programmable by the user through the Razer Synapse software. For those who just want to jump into the game, three [...]

AMD Unveils Radeon RX 470, RX 460 Graphics Cards At PC Gaming Show

Ever since AMD showed off its Radeon RX 480 at Computex 2016, gamers have been eagerly waiting to see the rest of its lineup. And what better place to show off the whole family than the gaming event dedicated to PC gamers?

At the AMD sponsored PC Gaming show, AMD CEO Lisa Su unveiled some additional members of the RX 400 series graphics cards. Newly joining the RX 480 is the RX 470 and the RX 460.

Nothing was said about the RX 470 besides that it would target 1080p gaming at 60Hz. Based on that bit of info alone, it’s a good guess that it will be powered by the Polaris 10 GPU. Since the RX 460 was announced to carry a TDP of >75W, we can [...]

Review: Cougar 250M Optical Gaming Mouse

Budget Friendly Mouse

Gaming mice come in various price tiers and we are often too caught up in the bells and whistle featured on flagship models. It’s always nice to see companies return to the basics with entry level products that deliver the necessary fundamental features at an affordable price. However, designing an affordable gaming mouse brings with it an unique set of challenges as tradeoffs occur and manufacturers have to strike a balance between cost and performance. Keeping that in mind, let’s review the Cougar 250M gaming mouse.

Manufacturer Cougar Gaming Model 250M Sensor ADNS-3050 Optical Sensor CPI Range 500/1000/1250/1750/2000/4000 [...]

Hands On: Overwatch Beta – First Impressions From a Guy Who’s Barely Played the Game

As you probably know, there was a invitational stress test beta test weekend test for Overwatch, Blizzards new first person shooter featuring MOBA elements.

Unfortunately for me, I wasn’t invited, and I intend to write Blizzard a strongly worded letter some point. Hurt feelings aside, a friend was kind enough to let me use their account to play the beta for around 45 minutes or an hour… Or three days… I’m not good with time. The point being, I didn’t get to play as much as I’d have liked to, but I feel my experience was something I wanted to talk about.

I knew very little about Overwatch [...]

Review: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2014 (Razer Green Switches)

Same Ultimate Keyboard, Now with Razer Mechanical Switches

Back in late 2012, we received the opportunity to check out the 2013 refresh of the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate mechanical gaming keyboard which proved to be one of the best mechanical keyboards of its time as it not only had great styling, but great functionality and performance that well represented the Razer name in high performance gaming peripherals. Since then the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate continued to be one of our favorite mechanical gaming keybords, but with numerous competitors coming out with cheaper, similarly well performing mechanical gaming keyboards these days, there’s definitely been room for Razer [...]

Review: Max Keyboard Blackbird Tenkeyless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

The Almost Perfect Tenkeyless

It’s been well over a year since my last mechanical gaming keyboard review and I’d have to say not much has radically changed in the mechanical gaming keyboard landscape. Cherry MX switches are still the most popular mechanical keyboard switches out there and for the most part, most new mechanical gaming keyboards on the market are becoming some sort of ODM sourced product from some mass keyboard manufacturer in China.

Today we’ll be reviewing the Max Keyboard Blackbird, which is a new tenkeyless mechanical gaming keyboard from the guys who brought you the Max Keyboard Nighthawk series mechanical gaming keyboards. Whereas [...]
