Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Now Dust and Water Resistant

Although much of the focus lately has been on Razer’s recently launched Phone, Razer’s bread and butter still remains their peripherals lineup. Today, Razer is announcing that they’re revamping the Blackwidow Ultimate mechanical gaming keyboard by now adding improved dust and water resistance.

The newest Razer Blackwidow Ultimate now features an IP54 water and dust resistance rating thanks to its improved Razer Green switches which now feature a wall around the switch to prevent water and dust from entering. Aside from the new water and dust resistance, the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate retains all the features of the previous models including [...]

Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro S RGB Review

Simple, Portable, Durable

Over the years, Cooler Master has grown up quite a bit with their mechanical keyboard designs. Unlike many of the designs of the past, Cooler Master’s new keyboards now focus on a more of the back to basics design approach with minimal frills, but all the functionality you’d want in a mechanical keyboard.

The Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro S is the embodiment of that new design philosophy. Aside from the logo, Cooler Master keyboards appear to have few differentiating factors against its competitors, but as the platitude goes, never judge a keyboard by its cover.

Today we’ll be reviewing one of Cooler Master’s [...]

The Best Gaming Keyboards of 2017

When it boils down to it, one of the most important components of your new gaming PC is the keyboard. Aside from the mouse, the keyboard, and maybe a gaming controller there’s literally nothing else that translates what you want to do to the PC. Unless you invest mind control… or something.

Over the past few years, one of the most popular categories of gaming keyboards have been the mechanical gaming keyboards. Unlike the cheap, soft and mushy rubber dome keyboards, mechanical gaming keyboards offer a better feel, more consistent actuation, better overall performance, and better reliability.

That said, with the increased popularity of mechanical [...]

HyperX Alloy Elite Review

Going Elite

Not long ago, we tested the HyperX Alloy FPS gaming keyboard, which was the first mechanical gaming keyboard to be offered by Kingston’s HyperX brand. Rather than stack up with features galore, the HyperX Alloy FPS was a rather strategic product, catering towards mainstream and eSports gamers who simply want a solid performing mechanical gaming keyboard they can take on the go at a reasonable price. For the most part, they succeeded.

Now back for round two is the HyperX Alloy FPS’s bigger, badder cousin, the HyperX Alloy Elite Mechanical Gaming Keyboard which we have for review today. While the HyperX Alloy FPS catered towards the mainstream gaming [...]

Patriot Viper V770 Review

Introduction

Although Patriot Memory is most well known for its memory kits, Patriot has become quite the major player in the gaming peripheral business in the past few years.

At CES 2017 earlier this year, we were first introduced to the Patriot Viper V770 mechanical gaming keyboard, which would be Patriot’s flagship mechanical gaming keyboard of 2017. At the show, the Patriot Viper V770 showed quite a bit of promise as a solid premium mechanical gaming keyboard with features such as RGB backlit Kailh Red Switches, a ton of built-in features, dedicated macros, and a LED wristrest.

Over the past few months, we’ve had the opportunity to review [...]

Bloody Unveils New Infrared Light Strike Switch Gaming Peripherals, Carbon Fiber Mycelium Headphones at E3 2017

Gaming peripherals maker, Bloody Gaming, had a fairly sizable presence at E3 2017, so we stopped by to take a quick look at a few of their upcoming products.

Bloody B975 Gaming Keyboard

Arriving at the booth, I was quickly directed to the Bloody B975 gaming keyboard, the newest Bloody gaming keyboard using LK (Light Strike) Libra optical infrared switches. For those unfamiliar, Light Strike switches are new infrared laser based switches which are superior in performance and durability over traditional mechanical switches. This is due to its lack of metal contact leaves and instead when the key is depressed, a plate [...]
