Still one of those holdouts on upgrading past Windows Vista, but really, really love playing World of Warcraft? Well, that’s too bad because Blizzard has made the decision to pull the plug on support for the older operating systems which Microsoft itself hasn’t supported since 2012.
According to Blizzard, the decision was made to continue supporting the older operating systems after its official EOL date by Microsoft because a significant portion of gamers were still on the older OSes, but most have now upgraded to one of the newer operating systems.
Blizzard plans to pull the plug in a staggered schedule starting in October of this year. Once [...]
Looks like Microsoft isn’t the only company no longer supporting older versions of Windows. Blizzard has officially announced the final end of support for Windows XP and Vista. Affected games include Starcraft, World of Warcraft, Heartstone, Diablo, and Heroes of the Storm.
According to a post on Blizzard’s Battle.net community forums,
Starting later this year, we will begin the process of ending support for Windows XP and Windows Vista in World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Diablo III, Hearthstone, and Heroes of the Storm. Microsoft ceased mainstream support for these versions of Windows in 2009 and 2012, respectively, but since a decent portion [...]
When we look at the computer peripherals market, there’s always one name that you can’t really forget – Logitech. For years, they’ve been producing amazing peripherals and with the emerging popularity of mechanical keyboards as of late, we’ve been left wondering when the computer peripherals giant would begin offering their own product.
For those still wondering then, wonder no more as today we’ll be reviewing Logitech’s recently introduced G710+ mechanical gaming keyboard, and as their first mechanical keyboard, it looks like Logitech has really pulled out all the stops for the G710+. Why do I say this? [...]
These days when most of us go out shopping for pre-built laptops, the top choices include Apple, Dell, HP, etc., and while the big box manufacturers produce products that are most compelling, there are also lesser known, enthusiast oriented manufacturers such as CyberPowerPC who are able to provide customers with the same hardware at a much lower cost.
For those unfamiliar with CyberPowerPC, they are actually a fairly large and reputable company well known for producing custom built desktop PCs and notebooks. Now unlike going with computers from most big box manufacturers, the benefits of going with a company like CyberPowerPC is that you [...]
Gaming peripherals are at an all time high in the PC market. Mice, keyboards, controllers; it seems every gamer is looking for THE hardware to customize his/her experience and give them the added edge in gaming. The Novint Falcon is a step into the added immersion of a game and utilizes a unique motion control that hasn’t been seen before in mainstream gaming.
The Novint Falcon was originally released in 2007 and went primarily unnoticed by the gaming community at large. Still supported today, the Falcon includes support from some of the most popular games on the market; such as Half-life 2, Battlefield 3, Diablo III, and Skyrim. This strange little device [...]
For many companies out there, building a new keyboard is nothing more than finding an OEM/ODM, have them produce your keyboard, drop your logo on top and sell it. While this is an easy way for companies to introduce a hot new product without a whole lot of investment, it doesn’t always allow companies to differentiate themselves from other companies doing the same thing. This is why sometimes we find keyboards, coolers, fans, etc. that are nearly identical to other products in their respective categories.
Because of this lack of real innovation in the market, when AZiO released the innovative Levetron Mech 4 mechanical keyboard [...]
Earlier this month, I was pretty excited to attend E3 for the first time and while it was nice seeing all the new game announcements at the show, I just had to make it my top priority to visit the Razer booth first. After all, I admit. I’m a hardware guy. Entering the Razer booth for the first time, I noticed that there were two main products on display. The first was a mouse which at first glance looked a bit like the Imperator and the other of course was a strange joystick, LCD, numpad contraption that I had never seen before. Safe to say, I was quite intrigued by both products.
After speaking with some of the Razer representatives at the [...]

Blizzard’s epic third installment of their hit RPG series, Diablo III, has finally opened up its real-money auction house to players in the Americas, finally giving players who spend tons of time farming gear an opportunity to be compensated in the real world for their hard work.
Diablo III originally launched with an in-game auction house that only allowed players to trade in-game items with in-game gold; however, with Blizzard’s recent launch of a real money auction house (06/12/12), players will now be able to trade in-game items for real world currency and vice versa.
The auction house will be available in the following currencies for [...]
