First Person Shooter, or FPS, games are one of the most common gaming genres out there, but when it comes to gaming mice designed specifically for the genre, there is surprisingly very few out there. Of course, if you ask any professional FPS gamer, it’s easy to understand why. As FPS gaming relies almost solely on the quality of the main switches along with the accuracy of the sensor, FPS gamers typically select simple mice with quality switches and ultra-accurate sensors making gaming mice such as the Zowie EC2, Razer DeathAdder Elite, Logitech G Pro, or SteelSeries Rival 300 some of the most popular gaming mice for FPS gamers.
Of course, [...]
Several weeks ago, we were able to get our hands on Razer’s new wired ambidextrous eSports grade gaming mouse, the Razer Lancehead Tournament Edition, which we were quite impressed with. While a portion of the advertised features weren’t available at the time of the review (Synapse 3 is required for the Hybrid On-Board functionality), the Razer Lancehead TE still proved to be a fantastic gaming mouse with a flawless sensor, an excellent design and a reasonable price point.
Along with the Lancehead TE, Razer also launched the Razer Lancehead, which we’ll be reviewing today. The main difference between [...]

China has always had a stringent policy of internet censorship ever since the rise of the internet in the country. Known as the “Great Firewall”, China blocks access to online services that it deems to be against the interest of the state. These services include popular sites such as Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, Wikipedia, and more. However, despite the country’s censorship policies, tech savvy individuals could still easily get around the “Great Firewall” by simply using a VPN service.
However, it appears that this is about to change as a recent article by Bloomberg reports that China is ordering its telecom carriers to block access to [...]
Back in 2013, privacy and encryption was thrust into the forefront of mainstream news when NSA whistleblower, Edward Snowden, leaked a huge repository of classified materials to the press, revealing a lot of very unnerving information about the NSA’s global surveillance programs. Among what was revealed included the NSA’s capability to monitor the online activities of US citizens which include everything from browsing activity to phone calls to e-mails to text messages and much, much more.
While government spying may be worrisome, what should be even more worrisome is the fact that unencrypted transmissions can literally be deciphered by anyone [...]

For network admins and network security professionals, one of the most important tools to learn to use is Wireshark (formerly Ethereal), a free and open source network analyzer/packet sniffer software for Windows, Mac and Linux that will allow network admins to quickly and easily capture frames, packets, segments/datagrams, and above in real time to monitor traffic going in and out of their networks.
