  1. looking to do my first build. will be using the pc for photo editing, video production and music production. I'll be using software like Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Fruity Loops & Pro Tools. this will be my first build and I'm on a budget. Trying to stay under $800 (I'm sure I'm pushing my luck haha). Please let me know if I'm on the right track with my parts list for what I'm trying to build and for the budget that I have. MoBo - AMD Ryzen B350 DDR4 CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 1600 GPU - GTX 1050ti SSD - Samsung 970 500GB RAM - Ballistix Sport LT 2x8GB PSU - EVGA 600w bronze CASE - NZXT s340 Mid Tower Total Cost of Build pre tax & monitor and keyboard $960 which is a bit more than where I want to be, but I don't see any areas I can cut back on without impacting performance. Thanks in advance!
  2. Hello: We are looking to upgrade our video hardware at our church and are evaluating our options. Instead of dealing with a hardware switcher, we are looking to utilize a software switcher like Wirecast to capture, record, display, and stream our program. These are the builds I am looking at: The bottom line is this. Is this enough? We want to ingest 6 camera feeds and 2 graphic feeds. The feed is then processed by Wirecast and output through the GPU or Blackmagic decklink recorder to our projector PC to be displayed on our IMAG. Should I be concerned out latency greater than 100ms? Any input would be appreciated, especially if you are familiar with dealing with multiple capture sources in Wirecast. This PC may also be used for post and photoshop as well.
  3. I'm looking to build a gaming PC (overclockable specs) with the compatibility to edit HQ 720p and/or 1080p videos and streaming live GamePlay on Twitch and youtube. All suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
  4. Hi. I'm a newcomer here. I'm working on building a new desktop pc for creating animations, using Adobe CC and Blender, and also doing audio recording using Cakewalk Sonar. I would like this machine to be as versatile as possible within my budget. The build I have thus far is listed below. I'm really stretching things with this and would love to reduce costs, but I'm not sure if there's any place I can save much. Perhaps I'm skimping someplace that I shouldn't. I have chosen the ASUS X99 Deluxe because it has both M.2 and U.2 connections. I think one of those SSDs will be for OS and programs and the other for swap space. Also, this mobo comes with a Thunderbolt 3 card. One specific question I have is whether I should wait for the Threadripper release and see if it reduces prices of CPUs across the board. Maybe I can save a couple hundred bucks if I wait till the end of August. PCPartpicker says there may be a problem with the motherboard needing a BIOS update for this CPU, but I think that is outdated info. Anyone know for sure? Is there a less expensive alternative to the Intel SSD that I could use in the U.2 connection? Anyone see any other issues or have any suggestions? Any comments are welcome. Thanks in advance!
