1. I need to buy another on of these (my third). Anyone up for a group buy?
2. I like to build my own computer, saves money which means better parts. If I were going to have someone build my computer I'd be a little leary of cyberpowerpc. I have heard good and bad about them. I think you'll want to pay for the Ultra Enhanced Packaging Solution from them, although I think they should pack it right to begin with and not charge extra for a doing a good job. You should also purchase the "Professional Wiring for All WIRING Inside The System Chassis". This is another thing they should just do right but won't unless you pay them for it. I have seen photos of the insides of cases they do not wire correctly and it is a hot mess. Those guys do have nice deals. Since I am comfortable re-wiring, or re-seating parts that come loose I could see myself buying from them on an exceptional deal but this is only because I am comfortable tinkering inside my box. I would up the cooler over the Asetek. If I was going to have someone build my computer... I do like a custom boutique builder called Digital Storm. They are a well regarded computer builder. Well built machines and good customer service. Compare their forums to cyberpower's. I did do a mock build up on their site but there may be more coupons available that I did not look for. I just did a quickie job. My build comes out to about 100.00 more than yours. It has a a smaller platter drive, a better SSD drive (pro instead of vanilla), and a better graphics card (660ti instead of 7870). They are very adjustable like cyberpower so you can knock some price off by getting that 7870 instead, I just think the 660ti is the sweet spot. Warranty: Life-time Expert Customer Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty https://www.digitalstormonline.com/cart/addprod.asp?product=718890&wt=30&from=&fromcode=&randomid=&S10=1 I think you get some games with this too, not a big deal to me my steam account is outrageous.
3. For Soundblaster Z series. Several fixes that improve the driver's overall stability and performance for the Z, Zx, and ZxR Added support for ASIO playback in SB Z and SB Zx. (SB ZxR already supports ASIO playback via its bundled driver. ) Creative Worldwide Support > Sound Blaster ZxR
4. Brown Switches with O-rings. Space bar has a red switch because I'm weird. Things to know if you are ordering one of these. They are beautiful and I can't take a proper picture. Yellow is not yellow but more of a light orange. Think school bus color. I do wish it was a canary yellow. The new keycaps look nice but the led lights do not light up the entire key evenly. It looks nice on the aliens, makes their brains glow. It does not light up the full lightning bolt. The lower half of the biohazard sign is barely lit. The keys where the image is on the upper hlf of the key like the fire, or skull and bones light up much better. I am happy with my purchase. It feels very nice to type on. I would buy again and be willing to pay a bit more. Thanks to the group buy on this site I was able to get this fully custom keyboard for under $200!
5. Samsung 250GB 840 Series 2.5" Solid State Drive (SSD) $149.99 until March 2nd Prices on SSD are really coming down. I paid this much for half the capacity just 6 months ago. Samsung 250GB 840 Series 2.5" Solid State Drive MZ-7TD250BW
6. $279.49 until March 2nd. nice price on a 500gb SSD Samsung 500GB 840 Series 2.5" Solid State Drive MZ-7TD500BW I have bought from these guys before. They are located in New Jersey. For us guys out west it means about a 4-5 day ship.
7. Thank you CPCR for the code! You saved me $50.00 on a full custom board with O-rings.
8. I was overwhelmed by the choices and possibilities. I almost through my hands up in disgust and just bought a solid color knowing I'd be just as happy with that. I have submitted a design (none of the above). I will post a picture of it when it arrives. Still haven't decided on a white keyboard or a black one. Does anyone here have one of the white ones? I believe it is not a white peace of plastic but instead a black one painted white. I want to know how it stands up to chipping. I put the lotion in the basket on the first date.
9. I'm hoping to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming and yelling like the passengers in his car.
10. I am a fan of the Corsair TX and HX series. I don't know anything about the CX series. You don't need 650W with that config. If it were my build I'd like to have that 650WTX from Corsair when I added a video card. You can probably get buy with 550 when you add the graphics card in but I'm just telling you what I'd want to do. Seasonic is also another very good brand, if you find a deal with them they are a safe bate too.
11. I hate dealing with mail in rebates but if you don't mind this isn't too shabby of a deal. GTX 670 GC 2GB - 329.00 (40.00 MIR) Galaxy 67NPH6DV6KXZ GeForce GTX 670 GC 2GB Video Card - 2GB, GDDR5, PCI-Express 3.0 x16, Dual DVI, HDMI, Display Port, DirectX 11, 3-Way SLI, Overclocked at TigerDirect.com
12. They have different headphone amps. The ZX has a Maxim MAX97220A. I think that is the same one on their Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Mine has a Texas Instruments TPA6120, which is supposed to be a nice amp. They need to sell the ZXR without the daughterboard, I have not installed it. I think many won't use it. There are two nice videos showing the guts of all three cards. I'll take pics of the outside if people want but I don't want to remove the shield off of my boards.
13. I need someone(s) with a great eye for design to help me with my next keyboard. I am buying from Max Keyboard. I can choose any color on any key so long as it is white, yellow, orange, red, blue, green, or purple. I can choose for the top of the board to be black or white. The keycaps will be black in either case. This will be used mostly at home. It is my office so I game there and work. I play all sorts of games. I prefer to use my Nostromo but am forced to use a keyboard at times too. For work I type some. I am a bad typest, have to look at my fingers. I use autocad and chief architect. Those programs are used with kb/mouse. For work I sometimes go to tradeshows or little meet ups. I consult Dentist on the layout of their office. Sometimes a little thing like a cool looking keyboard will be just the thing to break the ice and get a conversation going that will allow me to do what I do. Besides a lot of my pediatric dentists do themed offices. They are going to love these keyboards and have to have them. I can't decide if it should be flashy or sophisticated. Anyway my favorite colors are red and blue. I like purple. I marked the #3 in purple on a design because it is my wife's favorite number and color, I like her so... I'm not a fan of green. I usually don't care much for orange but I looked at Maxs' gallery and it looked like orange comes off rather nice. Maybe I have been wrong about orange and judged it too harshly. I tried my hand at a few. This is not an area I'm good at. Pick one or redirect me. Thanks! So remember we are looking for colors of keys AND what color keyboard Option 1 Option 2 Option 3
14. No, I have never overclocked anything. Like most new to it I shiver in fear. I watched this guy with his evga board.
15. I got it from Creative's site. You need to check them daily. They went in and out of stock there twice last week. I'd love to see a review comparing the ZXR against the ZX. The ZX keeps popping up on sale. I've seen it for as low as 104.99! If it is pretty close in audio quality, that ZX may be the way most should go.
