battlefield_1_screenshot_4The latest installment of EA DICE’s long-running, Battlefield 1 will be available in just a little over a month on October 21st. With that in mind, fans of the series are likely anxious to find out what it’ll take to run the game at their desired settings. Today, we finally have an idea as DICE has released the official system requirements on the Battlefield 1 website.

Battlefield 1 System Requirements

Recommended Specs:

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or later
  • Processor (AMD): AMD FX 8350 Wraith
  • Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 4790 or equivalent
  • Memory: 16GB RAM

  • Available Disk Space: 50GB

The recommended requirements here specifically call out the FX-8350 Wraith. However, as that SKU is essentially the same as the previously available FX-8350 with a better cooler in the box, we’re confident that users with the standard FX-8350 or similar SKUs, should be just fine. In terms of GPU requirements the minimum here is actually exactly the same as the recommended requirements for Battlefield 4, which is kind of surprising considering that it still using Frostbite 3 (now known simply as “Frostbite”), albeit a modified version. It is worth noting that these are also the very same GPU requirements found listed for Star Wars: Battlefront; which makes sense considering the visual similarities.

The recommended requirements also get a healthy bump, listing both AMD and NVIDIA’s latest-generation GPUs in the form of the GTX 1060 3GB and the RX 480 4GB. Both of these will offer similar performance to that of Battlefront’s recommended GPU requirements which are the AMD R9 290 (4GB) and the NVIDIA GTX 970 (4GB). In other words, if your system can run Battlefront, expect it to run Battlefield 1 with similar results.

Battlefield 1 will be available on October 21st for PC, Xbox One and PS4 and is available for pre-order right now!
