Razer’s ManO’ War headset which launched back in April has quickly become one of the most popular wireless gaming headsets of this year, but for those who aren’t interested in wireless, Razer is now offering a wired option in the Razer Man O’War 7.1.
Built on the same platform as the original ManO’War, the ManO’War 7.1 utilizes powerful 50mm drivers combined with a new USB digital-to-analog converter for crisp, outstanding audio. The unit also has a retractable MEMS boom microphone which allows the microphone to be retracted out of sight when not in use.
For multiplatform gamers, the Razer ManO’War 7.1 is [...]

Razer never lags behind in gaming aesthetics. With the recent launch of Blizzard’s Overwatch, Razer has applied the game’s signature black and yellow color scheme some of its most popular peripherals.
Razer and Overwatch fans would be glad to know that the Overwatch theme has been applied to the Blackwidow Chroma gaming keyboard, the DeathAdder gaming mouse, and the Goliath Extended gaming mousepad. Not only did the products receive a new paint job, Razer also paired them with a customized lighting effect through the Razer Chroma lighting engine.
Razer has also designed a new headset entirely around the new theme called the Razer [...]
Razer recently announced that they’ve revamped the Hammerhead In-Ear Gaming Headset, now offering “…more power, sound quality, durability and portability than ever before.” Aptly dubbed the Hammerhead V2 and the Hammerhead Pro V2, the new in-ear headphones now feature new flat cables rather than the older round cables and they also now pack 10mm drivers rather than the previous generation’s 8mm.
Aside from the changes, the Hammerhead V2 and the Pro V2 still sport a beautiful CNC milled aluminum finish and the Pro V2 model still sport an in line microphone fully compatible with iOS and Android devices. Of course, a 3.5mm [...]
I had to do a double take when I first saw the Creative Sound BlasterX H5. The red “X” marked on the side of the ear cups looked eerily similar to another headset I’d previously reviewed.
Moving past the initial identity mashup, the Creative Sound BlasterX H5 is a mid-tier gaming headset in Creative’s H series gaming headsets designed to offer good audio performance for the money without all the extra bells and whistles typically associated with the higher end gaming headsets.Manufacturer Creative Model Sound BlasterX H5 Drivers 50mm Neodymium Full Spectrum Custom Tuned [...]
Many of today’s peripherals now have a ton of customization options. Parts can be removed, added, or swapped depending on the user’s preference. However, the gaming headset scene hasn’t seen a whole lot of customizability yet. Sure some companies have added the option for users to switch out the appearance of their headsets, but it’s rare to see a gaming headset where most of the parts can be removed and replaced depending on a user’s preference.
That being said, then compared to everything else that currently exists on the market, the Plantronics RIG 500E (E for E-Sports Edition) is definitely in a league [...]
Ahead of the E3 gaming expo coming up next week, Razer is announcing a small refresh to their Kraken Pro gaming headsets which will now include inline volume and mic mute controls. No additional changes have been announced for the headset at this time.
The new and improved Razer Kraken Pro will be available in black, white, and of course, green when it launches sometime this month. Pricing on the updated headset is expected to be unchanged at $79.99. More information about the 2015 Razer Kraken Pro can be found at the Razer website here.
When we went to Kingston’s booth at CES 2015 last month, we got a chance to check out a ton of new memory products including new memory, SSDs, memory cards and flash drives. Along with their plethora of memory products, Kingston is also pumping up their peripherals lineup with a new gaming headset and some upcoming gaming mousepads as well.
Today we’ll be reviewing their new gaming headset, the Kingston Cloud II Pro Gaming Headset. Now the first generation Kingston HyperX Cloud headset was a pretty good headset. Although we only got to test the headset at various events, we were fairly impressed with it as it not only [...]
For those of you who liked Razer better during the good old days, Razer is doing a limited run of “Classic Series” products just for you.
According to a recent press release, Razer will be re-releasing five exclusive gaming peripherals on a limited time basis which will feature the classic blue LEDs from Razer past rather than the new green LEDs from Razer present.
“Each Razer Classic product will feature blue LED backlighting as a tribute to the company’s formative years. These legendary products will include the latest Razer hardware and technology, ensuring contemporary performance, but with a subtle nostalgic [...]
At CES 2014 earlier this year, Cherry Corporation and Corsair made a huge splash in the world of gaming peripherals by introducing the world’s first RGB LED backlit mechanical gaming keyboard. At the time it was quite revolutionary since prior to the introduction, mechanical keyboards only came with either one or sometimes two single color LEDs which just doesn’t give users much choice when it comes to color customization.
While Corsair and Cherry took the spotlight at the beginning of the year, it really didn’t take very long for competing companies to catch up, with Razer first introducing their first RGB backlit peripherals back [...]
Earlier this year at CES 2014, SteelSeries invited us to their suite to check out a couple brand new products they were coming out with. While we were browsing their suite, SteelSeries showed us the new SteelSeries Sensei Wireless Gaming Mouse along with the SteelSeries Stratus Wireless Gaming Controller. While those were interesting products, what really caught our eye was a product they had introduced several months earlier – the SteelSeries Siberia Elite Gaming Headset, which was prominently displayed on one of the display shelves.
Most of you who follow the PC gaming scene in the past decade have probably seen [...]
