inwin-h-frame-computex-2015-custom-pc-review-8

InWin pushed out their latest creation at Computex 2015 and quite frankly, it’s one of the few things at the show that made us say “what the hell is that?” in delight.

In its tower shape, the InWin H-Tower looks like a vertical case with a beautiful brushed aluminium finish and carefully cut seams to let your LED light bleed out in the dark. But using an app on your cell phone or tablet, each “blade” of the chassis opens up in a fantastic transformation that would make Optimus Prime jealous. Apart from making your system looking like it’s forged by an alien race, the opened mode also makes swapping components a breeze. InWin representatives told us that quick access to the components was the inspiration behind the H-Tower, but it’s obviously gone way past the original intention (in a good way).

But beauty is nothing without functionality. Being a premium exotic case, the the InWin H-Frame naturally has an amazingly spacious interior that can host up to an E-ATX motherboard. On top of that, the components can be installed in different positions to accommodate for different sizes and types of coolers. Yes, the DIY Gurus in the room may now go change their pants.

Granted, the InWin H-Frame still a prototype product needing some finishing touches (although InWin assures us it’s slated for mass production in Q3), and its price tag can probably give a sloth a fatal heart attack (~$1,500… ish). But hey, that’s the price you pay for InWin’s innovation and being “that guy with that thing” on Facebook. For the rest of us chumps who don’t drink out of gold goblets, we can still drool over these gorgeous pictures.
