Hey whats up everyone! I know this is a first, but I will be doing system builds at least once a month for all you readers out there.

For November’s build of the month, I’ve decided to make this a moderately priced (~$1,000), high performing gaming machine that will play pretty much anything you throw at it.

CPU – Intel Core i5 2500K

Currently the best CPU for the price, the i5 2500K is exactly what a gamer is looking for. No need spending the extra $100 for the i7 2600K. Performance will roughly be equal in most games on the market today.

Motherboard – MSI Z68A-GD65 (G3)

Excellent motherboard that I have personal experience with. Easy to overclock and packed full of features at a reasonable cost. Includes a 5 year warranty to boot vs the standard 3 years.

Memory – Corsair Vengeance 1600MHZ Low Profile 1.5v

Excellent ram that is known to work with most motherboards on the market today. Make sure to purchase low profile or possibly face CPU cooler mounting issues if you decide to purchase a monolithic one down the road.

Video Card – EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Superclocked

The GeForce GTX 560 Ti is an excellent video card that’ll play pretty much everything you throw at it. It is among the best cards when it comes to value. Coupled with EVGA’s lifetime warranty, you can’t go wrong.

Hard Drive – Western Digital Caviar Black

WD Caviar Black hard drives are currently the best 7200rpm boot drives on the market

Optical Drive – OEM DVD Drive or OEM Blu Ray Drive (Any Manufacturer)

PSU – Corsair TX650M

Can’t go wrong with a Corsair TX, HX, or AX series PSU. 650W will be enough even for a couple upgrades down the line.

Case – Corsair 400R

Excellent mid tower case with good air flow and many advanced features at a very affordable price point.

CPU Cooler – Hyper 212 Plus

Still one of the best coolers for the money. Nuff said.
