Computex 2015: PowerColor Unveils Devil HDX Sound Card

AMD board partners had a pretty disappointing showing at Computex this year since AMD decided not to launch their upcoming 300 series graphics cards at the show.

Rather than go empty handed however, PowerColor did show off their upcoming Devil HDX sound card (SCM888-DHDX) which they claim will improve audio quality over onboard sound for gamers and audio enthusiasts.

PowerColor was nice enough to let us take a look under the hood of the Devil HDX which revealed that the sound card does in fact have a full array of “real” audio processing hardware.

Tidal Titleholder Trash Talks Tech Titans

Jay-Z  (aka Young Hov, Jigga, et al), viciously tore into Apple, Google, and streaming service Spotify during a free concert over the weekend promoting Tidal.

Criticism surrounding the lack of a free base service and the $20-a-month price tag have given Tidal a rough relaunch in March of this year, with many critics viewing it as another way for rich artists to get richer.

During the show, the U.S. artist went [...]

At about the size of a Bluetooth speaker, the Sound Blaster X7 is unlike anything Creative has ever produced. Inside its stylish black casing, the Sound Blaster X7 is not only a high-end external DAC, it’s also a serious amplifier capable of delivering up to 76w of power (or 100w with the optional 24V, 6A power adapter).

In order to achieve this, the Sound Blaster X7 features Creative’s proprietary SB-Axx1 multi-core DSP that we’ve seen in several generations of Sound Blaster products along with a Burr-Brown PCM1794 [...]
